Hazy deep brown appearance, medium head. Sweet roasted malt notes, nuts. Sweet taste, light bitterness. Good Dunkel.

rockana (301) - Zadar/Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 25, 2014
Pours clear dark brown with minimal white head. Light body. Aroma of maybe caramel, some nuts. Watery. Nothing special.

Stuu666 (13649) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2014

imdownthepub (14776) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2014
Bottled, 500ml from Manger, Bamberg. Brown with slight off white head. Dull, malty, flat beer, there is a certain bitterness but the beer was skunked in the bottle like all the beers from this shop.

sdmmb (1919) - BELGIUM - APR 30, 2014
Drunk from 50 cl bottle bought from near Bamberg. Pleasant and thankfully non too sweet dark beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

culchiem (4022) - Berlin, GERMANY - APR 13, 2014
Bottle at Hopfen & malz. Dark brown with a short hrad. Aroma is nutty malt. Flavour is sweet malt, a little powder chocolate and raisins. Sweet finish

Beerhunter111 (21515) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 18, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, nussig, leicht würzig.

Benzai (15931) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 30, 2014
Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah @ weekly tasting. Clear mahogany red color, full sized off-whits head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is quite heavy malty, some caramel and some sweetness. Taste malts, again some caramel, lightly leaves and lightly some sweetness. Average body and carbonation.

DutchDrebus (6035) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JAN 30, 2014
Bottle @ benzai shared by ansjelaah. Clearest brown I’ve ever seen with a medium sized off-white head. Smells caramel, herbs, malts, slightly smoked. Tastes a bit like a more defined kellerbier. Some caramel, slightly chocolate, slightly roasty, slightly smoked, slightly malty. Medium body, nice carbo.

McNeillR (2322) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 23, 2013
Vibrant mahogany, decent dunt of off white head. Nutty, sweet and powdery ash smokiness. Welcoming carbonation, light nutty and toffee screens any decent malt middle or reassuring carbonation. Sweet and wooden bitter finish.

Bottle, November in December Tasting.
