Brown color with a nice off-white head. Roasted sweet malt aroma. Flavor is like the aroma. mouthfeel is a mix of dry rosted malt end.
500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.0%. Beautiful deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts with some caramel and notes of bakery, fair enough. The malty flavour has some sweetness, but not too much, still with distinct notes of caramel. Moderate hops, as expected from a dunkel. A pleasant dunkel to drink. Medium beige head. Clear reddish brown still body. Syrupy raisiny aroma with spicy wooden notes. Sweet caramelly raisiny taste with spicy rye crisp bread notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish caramelly bready aftertaste with toasted sugar and minerals notes. Lingering rye crisp bread finish. Very nice. Full of flavour and lots of character. Dark pour with poor head. Roasted and cara malts in the front. Some hazlenuts in the background and sadly a bit watery. Bit like their Helles/Vollbier Mister_Li (1585) - GERMANY - AUG 8, 2017
Klares dunkelbraun mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, süßlich, leichte Röstaromen, reichlich Karamell, Nüsse, sehr süffig. hauxe (967) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2017
Pours brown from the bottle with a creamy head. Aroma is nutty, light smoke, corn, caramel. Pleasant. Taste is mildly sweet, salty notes, a touch of cherry. All in all a surprising depth. Body is light, refreshing, but only just robust enough not to feel watery. A stronger character here would have raised the rating for me. Overall quite good for the style. fdomig (1028) - München, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2017
