500ml on tap at the brewpub. Aroma is light hops. Appearance is clear yellow with a small white foam. Taste is light bitter. Light carbonation. Good. superspak (5503) - Michigan, USA - MAY 28, 2017
500 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with great strength. Taste of big cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an incredible Helles! All around fantastic robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV, and perfectly balanced. A highly enjoyable offering, best in the style I’ve had to date. Ritzn (1311) - GERMANY - MAY 23, 2017

Goldgelb, klar mit feiner Krone. Es riecht nach Getreide, leicht hopfig. Milder Geschmack mit feiner Würze. Sehr gutes Helles!

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2017 Bottle. Golden lots of carbonation. Fresh sweet malt aroma. Great dortmunder, just I expected some smoke, but there?s none. Supreme balance and drinkability, even better than Ayinger Jahrhundert which was my favorite Dortmunder til this one. Nice underlying bitterness. Wish this were on tap at my local watering hole.
From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours crisp gold with abundant white foam. Aroma is bready and flowery. Body is light and delicately carbonated. Taste is mostly sweet, though with a pleasant underlying bitterness. Finish is average. onceblind (9418) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2017
Clear golden with a slight chill haze. Thin white head that recedes pretty fast. Thin German grainy aroma with a little skinny earthy hops. Crisp dry flavor that almost reminds me of a fresh shoe store. Light and quietly leathery, lagery crisp, slightly bready and smooth with a touch of grassy hops. A little light and a little too old world for my taste. ozzatoadisback (165) - ITALY - MAR 3, 2017
Light golden, medium soapy head, ok retention and lacing. Smells of hay, cereal, slight lemon and light grassy hints. Not too intense. Taste follows the aroma with crackery malts, lemonish hints, a touch of grass and some floral hops suggestion. Average sweetness and low to medium bitterness, easy and clean. Light bodied with just the right amount of delicate crispness. A very standard and undoubtedly enjoyable helles, but not a remarkable one.
