Another classical Bamberger beer golden, clear, white foam, medium bitterness, light body, average carbonation, bitter, stevoj (5425) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 6, 2017
Bottle from Das Alpenhaus. Clear golden with lasting frothy head. Aroma is grainy and slightly skunky.. Label indicates freshness (7/4/17) but taste indicates otherwise. Grainy and vegetal, oily. Nit the Helles lager I used to drink in Germany. Jabic (656) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - SEP 22, 2017
Ar: Sweet, wet malt; bright moss and lemon hops; backbone of slightly congealed crackers. Ap: Light gold and clear; small wheat head with low retention, leaving a ring and a haze of splotches. T: Rich but light malt, very pure; chalk, licorice, and waxy crackers; lemon; bitterness is medium-high and fairly firm, with a black tea edge; no sweetness; finish is strongly mineral and bitter, with actual hop heat. P: Light body with very high carbonation; finish is bone dry. O: A bold statement for a helles; malt is very light, and just supporting--the real stars are the minerality and the hops; there is both an extremity and a grace to this beer; quaffable and lean, full of freshness. klm1 (1780) - Bled/SF, - SEP 19, 2017
Pours clear golden colow with persistance white head. Aroma: gentle floral, herbal hop profile, grainy sweet malt profile. Flavor: floral, herbal hop profile, supported & perfectly balanced with grainy, honey-ish sweet malt backbone. Medium body, smooth texture, medium carbonation. drmet (1004) - GERMANY - AUG 7, 2017
-pours a clear golden with a medium, frothy, white head
-high carbonation visible
-medium bitterniss for the style
-light to medium body
A good Beer that reminds me more of an Export Lager than a Helles.
Doesn’t quite reach the heights of Ayinger, Augustiner or Schlenkerla’s examples

Shared at a get together at ebone1988’s house with Matt and Jennifer on July 08. 500 mL bottle. The pour is a darker golden yellow with a thick white head and a couple spots of lace as it falls down. The aroma is sweet and malty. This is definitely a helles. There is a light bready malt and a hint of corn. It’s got an earthiness about it, and carries a slight metallic addition. The flavor is much of the same. There is the strong corn and metallic with a hint of bready malt and a lingeringly floral aspect to it. It’s not that great. The mouth feel is clean and light with a crisper carbonation and a lingeringly earthy hop and a light maltiness with a kiss of metallic. It’s pretty watery and light. Meh. Not crazy about it. 6 4 5 4 13 fdomig (1028) - München, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2017

500 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with great strength. Taste of big cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an incredible Helles! All around fantastic robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV, and perfectly balanced. A highly enjoyable offering, best in the style I’ve had to date.
