This black beer poured with a fluffy tan head and a mild caramel aroma. The flavor is mostly candy sugar and caramel malt. The body is too thin and ;there is an odd aftertaste. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2008
Bottle courtesy Degarth. Pours a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a small off-white head. Aroma of tea and caramel. Taste is astringent tea. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. This bottle was past its prime. joet (2662) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - FEB 5, 2008
Thin, headless, very dark brown, bits of nuts but more prominent aromas of wet asphalt and old licorice. No body at all and barely any bitterness and near totally dry. This is barely beer to me. Could have been water scooped from an old washing machine and pitched with ash. Not quite Chelada but pretty bad.
