2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2016 Bottle. Clear pale golden color with big white head. Aroma is sweetish crackers and noble hops. Taste is sweet grains, more noble hops, crisp. Medium carbonation. A good Leichtes, it?s not too sweet and has enough hops to make it thirst-quenching.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home again style ticking has taken me to a world I’d rather not be. Dirty gold color, probably an old bottle. Nose is some lemon and cleaner. Tastes of 409, lemon, grains, floral, and stale hops. Watery but not terrible palate. Not very good

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Aldi drunk in a park in Bamberg. Very pale gold colour lasting white head Lots of carbonation in appearance. One of the better leichts ive had in that it isn’t terrible. Lots of light lemon flavour. Even some flowery hop presence especially on the finish. Some toast from the low abv. It’s fine.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Mahr’s Brau Leicht has a thick, spongy, frothy, white head, and a somewhat hazy, straw-gold appearance, with some ascending bubbles and very heavy lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of biscuit and bread dough, and the flavor is the same with a mild, rounding bitterness. Mouthfeel is almost medium, and Mahr’s Brau Leicht finishes crisp and refreshing.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Yet another mistaken purchase, as I suspected that the ’leicht’ on the label meant light... but since I spent some months in Bamberg years ago and couldn’t remember this particular brewery, I gave it a shot. It is a pleasant, very light lager beer. I believe that this would compare quite well with other brews in this category, which damns with faint praise indeed.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Pours a light golden color with a small head and bits of lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, fruity and bit of citrus in the background. Taste of fruity sweetness, malt and grass. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, clean and refreshing with a subtle sweetness to round it out. Not bad for a low alcohol beer.
