50 cl bottle from Doodler. Thanks Scott. Nose of banana, cloves, yeast, and a flowery note. Murky brown tinged yellow with a medium pale beige head. Flavor is peppery, banana, and light bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This weiss beer lacked a strong, distinct bouquet and flavor. There was some tang in the taste and the body was smooth and full. I expected more.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from perfect pour. Pours brown with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. There’s some floral hop flavor on the tongue which essentially subsumed the hefeweizeness of the beer. Clean finisher. Interesting take on an old face but not to my liking.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Cloudy amber, a little fiery, large foamy off-white head, few spots of lacing.   Pale floral
wheaty nose.   Soft hoppy wheat like flavors up front.   Fairly malty.   Doesn’t have the classic clove or
banana that others do, but guessing since this one is hopped more and supposed to be on the Amber side, its not going
to be like your regular German Hefe.   Spritzy on the tongue, covers up the heaviness of the beer.   Finishes
very bubbley, wheaty, lingering hop and malty mealiness, a bit yeasty.   Nothing earth shattering, but comes
across as very interesting.   I keep sipping this beer to try and figure it out better.   I guess I wished it
would have a bit of banana & clove, but it would probably clash with the hops and maltiness.   Entertaining at

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
lightly hazy amber, bit of a gusher, foams a ton, head goes down relatively quickly leaves nice lacing... loads of grassy hops, quite spicy, light clove and banana notes... lively medium thin bodied... lightly toasty malt, grassy, cereal grains, some lighter than expected spicing... just kidding, its very spicy/almost herbal... very nice beer, not necessarily a refreshing wheat, but excellent flavor...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wheat in the aroma and into the flavor along with bananas, yeast and hops in finish. Not bad, a little different for a hefeweizen.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: The beer pours a hazed amber color with a finger or so of white head.
S: It’s definitely got some hops to it. Starts off with citrus and hints of tropical fruits. Past there, there is the usual aroma of sweet malt and wheat bread with a somewhat mild banana and clove note.
T: The flavor isn’t quite as good, however. Light banana notes and a strange tea flavor. A good dose of citrus peel, as well as some floral hops and a light grassiness. Plenty of sweet bread and wheat.
M: The body is medium with a medium carbonation.
O: While the aroma was nice, the flavor was lacking and overall just wasn’t the most enjoyable beer to drink.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Julio’s . Cloudy amber with excellent lasting dense head. Weird aroma in a addition to mild clove and banana there’s white wine and caramel candy. Sweet caramel and a variety of peachy and plummy fruits. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. Very complex for a hefe, but do I want a very complex hefe? I’m on the fence here.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light amber color with a frothy off white head that leaves some lacing. Aromas of banana, orange and wheat. Flavors of banana, orange, wheat and spices. Medium bodied with the very slightest of hop bitterness. Overall this is an interesting and unique take on the Hefeweizen that works out pretty well.
