Bottle from Wino’s. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Banana ester aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with an earthy texture. Flavor of pale wheat malts with the banana bubble phenols, but not overpowering. The hops and clove really come out on the finish, almost creating somewhat of an off flavor.
Ar: Ripe peach; pepper and slight toasted malt. Ap: Deep amber and hazy; small light tan head with low retention, settling into a ring of mixed bubbles and a super fine wash of foam across the top. T: Toasty malt and peach; steely breadiness; chalk and medium bitterness; zesty and grassy hop flavor; peach skins. P: Light body with very high carbonation; finish is highly dry. O: Some hefeweizen character here and there, but comes across as unfocused and slightly sharp; really doesn't look like a hefe in the glass. wombat23 (1828) - Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2017

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly/fully diminishing.
Body is cloudy light to medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of banana, gum, clove.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Not sure where the "metric ton" of hops went, but maybe it’s not a fresh sample (even though this has only now just arrived to my local for the first time that I’m aware of, so you’d think it’s a new batch). Clunky and syrupy-watery and dull, with a sad appearance (esp. for a Weissbier). I’m frequently disappointed by Mahr’s, and this is no exception.
