Bottle from Wino’s. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Banana ester aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with an earthy texture. Flavor of pale wheat malts with the banana bubble phenols, but not overpowering. The hops and clove really come out on the finish, almost creating somewhat of an off flavor.
500ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper hue with a fizzy cream-colored head that disappeared completely within five seconds. Aroma of wheat, citrus, banana, allspice, caramel, clove notes. Taste follows nose. Bif (2237) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - JAN 22, 2017

Tap at Churchkey. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Banana esters and some yeast and clove on the nose. Slightly dry, slightly watery - this is okay. Ernest (7661) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 21, 2016
Bottle (labeled as 5.5% now).
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly/fully diminishing.
Body is cloudy light to medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of banana, gum, clove.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Not sure where the "metric ton" of hops went, but maybe it’s not a fresh sample (even though this has only now just arrived to my local for the first time that I’m aware of, so you’d think it’s a new batch). Clunky and syrupy-watery and dull, with a sad appearance (esp. for a Weissbier). I’m frequently disappointed by Mahr’s, and this is no exception.
