Draft at Main Street. Medium copper body, little head. Sweet mango nose that smacks you a bit. Flavor starts off with mango that is definitely on the sweet side. It finishes oddly enough quite bitter, almost as if the brewer at the last second thought, "oh yeah, this is beer, not a fruit smoothie" and threw in a pile of Chinook hops, boiling them to pure bitterness. Disjointed, didn't care for it. delacerveza (166) - Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2002
once again, i was prepared to despise something yet found myself pleasantly surprised. i have never been a fan of fruity beer, and i bought this on a whim because it was (chuckle) 1.99 per 4 pack at a local yokel ABC--not a big seller for the big bud boys i guess.
i found the fruit aroma and taste to be immediately overwhelming, but the sip mellowed out nicely into a gen-yoo-win malty ale. after a couple of sips, i was hooked. hey mikey, i liked it!
i went back the next week and bought the last two 4-packs, and alas, have seen hide nor hair of this beer again.
lovely how florida vendors support local brewers, isn’t it? 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2003 Ive never had a mango or and orange flavored beer. I have to say that i was impressed. It wasnt one of those weak ass flavored malt beverages, but a true ale with a hint of mango flavor. Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - FEB 7, 2002
You had better like mango, the smell hits you when you pop the cap. Big head, slight bitter finish, not my style but I do like mangos so I had to try. Something good for a tourist to take home and the locals to avoid

Very unique; provided you like the taste of mango, because it is right up front with this beer. Amber/orange color; crystal clear; thin, diminishing head; tasty balance between the mango flavor and malts; as expected quite sweet. The mango flavor is right on; not off or artificial at all. Good stuff!
