This stout pours with a black body topped by little head with some lacing. The aroma and flavor are sweet, very roasty, malty and heavy with coffee and a little chocolate. Full bodied, smooth and a little dry. BeaverBrown (245) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 30, 2003

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 Black..Finishing w/ no head..Roasty but nothing to supercilious..Thick at first with coffee bean covered trash bags..then straight trash bags..roasted grains pushing through from time to time.. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - JUL 3, 2002
Initial yeasty aroma escapes the bottle before turning chocolaty. pasty oatmeal aroma noticeable as is high alchol content. Fairly high alcohol bite, blends well against silky oatmeal palate. Nice roasted chocolate at the end grips well into the aftertaste.
