Pour out of 500 ml bottle, hazy copper-red pour with off white head, aroma brought candied fruit, caramelized sugars, nice honey, vanilla notes into some dark fruits, nice mango notes as well. Taste was sweet orange peel, mango, some grapefruit into honey and vanilla, rum soaked raisins, dark fruits, nice earthy spice notes, finishing sweet but bitter. Very well balanced as Maine seems to do well, this is one of their better ones. kaser (6364) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Maine can do no wrong. Darker orange pour from bottle. White head. Tropical fruit and hoppy aroma. Taste is spicy bitter fruity with a perfect balance of all. This is another amazing beer of theirs. Never had one that wasn't great jsquire (4537) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2014
Maine Beer is doing great thing with hops. Lil One has a great fresh hop nose over melted caramel. This pours a hazy orange color with a short lived off white head. There are lots of strong caramel candy malts with just a crap ton of hop resin, pine and red grapefruit hop flavors. This is a really hoppy beer with lots of alcohol and chewy malts. Long dry hop resin and pine finish. Makes me want to live in Maine. snoworsummer (5917) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 16, 2014
From a bottle. Pours cloudy orange copper with a bubbly white head. Tastes like grapefruit, hops, bitter raisins, alcohol, dried fruit, and tobacco. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like alcohol, tropical fruit, raisins, and hops.

Bottle. Pours murky amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is apples, floral and spicy hops, bready and cereal malts, and a touch of booze. Flavor is dry malts, medium hop bitterness, light caramel sweetness, and some apple esters; dry finish with some bitterness lingering. Medium body and carbonation. johnnnniee (4376) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Bottle from Damon’s in Augusta
Dated Jan so this might not be quite the hop monster it once was. Pours a slightly murky golden amber color with a frothy off white head that persists forever sticking lots of lace on the sides. Aromas of earth pine brown sugar and caramel. The flavor is bit sweet with hints of caramel and raw brown sugar with a solid hit of earthy pine and resin. Toffee and light fruit with a bit of alcohol flavor round us out. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sticky creamy resinous mouthfeel. I drank this at the wrong time I think. Either super fresh when the hops still popped or with more age to bring forward more fruit and subdued hops. I’m interested enough in seeing how this develops that I may pick up a bottle on my way out of town to cellar for a bit. annunz123 (962) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Caramel malt, pine, lots of citrus, and a little alcohol in the aroma. Flavor is bitter with citrus, pine, and strawberry. Finish is sweet with some drying alcohol. Another great beer from a great brewery. rumproasts (5478) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2014
