Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Light airy palate, crispy. Lightly bitter brett. Modest dried fruits. More bretty bitterness. Okay but could do without the brett.
Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds a bit of orange, some tangerine, mango, some bready malts. Medium sweet flavor with more peach, some aged pine, ripe citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light resinous hops to finish, some pine, sugary bread, citrus rind, ripe orange. Solid. Scopey (15261) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2014
Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, toast, alcohol, orange squash, acid, earth, acetic, vanilla and wood. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, dirt, orange squash, tangerine, candy, candied peel, sugar, candy, pine, varnish and alcohol with a dry, somewhat, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright. Terminus (3702) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 24, 2014
Bottle sampled at r ustico Alexandria va
pours nice bright copper hue with a small soapy eggshell head and awesome lacing. Nose is big-time malty hops just as its described. Flavors of big dark caramel toasts grains. Love that note! Big p iney hop presence and lingering toasted amber malts. This is fantastic! Body is sort of lite for 9% and easy to drink. Damn tbis is nice! I’m sure when this is fresh its more hoppy like Bigfoot. I love the malt profile with this brew. Excellent! swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAR 22, 2014

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured dark copper brown with a moderate frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy resin, complex malt with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. 500ml bottle, shared by b3shine. Date on bottle is 2/11/14. Hazy, darker orange amber color. Thin off-white head, leaves good dots of lace. Malty DIPA, yeah this was my first thought. Big caramel malt, some toasty malt, kind of biscuity. It’s a nice pleasant malt balance, with some spicy earthy hops. Bigger body. Super-smooth, lighter carbonation. Kind of crisp. More dry finish. First sip was sort of a surprise, but I loved it by the second sip. These guys make consistently great beer.. Stuff that I’d love to enjoy with every one of my dinners if I could. b3shine (9011) - Indiana, USA - MAR 19, 2014
16.9 oz bottle to snifter (shared with the group; thanks sloth!). Looks good; a translucent brownish orange with foamy off-white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; sweet and malty with notes of caramel, hops, and toffee. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good beer! alexsdad06 (10580) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 19, 2014
500 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malts, herbal and mildly fruity hops, bready malts, a slight alcohol bite. Decent enough. crossovert (13411) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Bottle. Big and boozy brew, tons of hops yet tons of malt, it goes a bit over the top. Reminiscent of Spiteful beers to me.
