Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Light airy palate, crispy. Lightly bitter brett. Modest dried fruits. More bretty bitterness. Okay but could do without the brett.
Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds a bit of orange, some tangerine, mango, some bready malts. Medium sweet flavor with more peach, some aged pine, ripe citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light resinous hops to finish, some pine, sugary bread, citrus rind, ripe orange. Solid. Theydon_Bois (20632) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2014
Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Leighton, 08/04/14.
Hazed orange amber with a good sized light beige covering.
Nose is bitter tropicana, tea leaves, spice, light pine, toasty notes.
Taste comprises bitter orange, light tropicana, pine resin, spice, dank hoppage, caramel.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Another solid number from Maine. mcberko (18977) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 16, 2015
500mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a beautiful opaque orange amber with a medium beige head. Nose is kind of confused, with bready malts and obscured hops. Flavour brings out dark fruits, resinous hops, and caramel malts. Not the most complex beer, surprisingly, but well-balanced and full-bodied. Overrated, but very good.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, toast, alcohol, orange squash, acid, earth, acetic, vanilla and wood. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, dirt, orange squash, tangerine, candy, candied peel, sugar, candy, pine, varnish and alcohol with a dry, somewhat, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright. Tmoney99 (14976) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured dark copper brown with a moderate frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy resin, complex malt with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. Half liter bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a hazy dark orange color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Hoppy aroma with resin and pine along with nuts and faint toffee. The taste is toffee malts, some crackery notes, citrus and herbal hops. Medium bodied. Decently balanced. The slightest hint of booze. crossovert (13909) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Bottle. Big and boozy brew, tons of hops yet tons of malt, it goes a bit over the top. Reminiscent of Spiteful beers to me. BeerandBlues2 (13816) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 25, 2013
