This is an excellent pale ale. Lacy with good body and easy on the palate. Well worth the wait in finding this gem. $8 a bottle is a little steep given that Sculpin and Dogfishhead 90 are more economical and equally as good. But something to put on your beer bucket list for sure. sweigardc (1) - - FEB 23, 2013 does not count
Hoppy and strong, yet well balanced. Lots of citrus, a little malt. like a strong IPA. PhatB420 (840) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - APR 5, 2013
16.9 into a stemmed glass. This is wonderful, aroma is herbal hoppy with inviting whiffs of pine, soil, weed, and malty satisfaction. Taste is all around organic soil, pleasant hops, grass, citrus and more pine. The malt rides high within the first encounter, but the the hops seem to meddle in perfectly to pronounce their stance, which is strong. Color is a dark brown orange. head is nicely covering the brew but leaves sufficent room to breathe. Abv is there, but not fully brutel. Goes downn eloquantly (sp), smooth, and measures in some winter spices. I consider this one an excellent hybrid of a dipa and a strong ale. more on the dipa side. Aromics are ipa strong but the malt man, that simmers in striaght up and alters this one. An excellent brew by an excellent brewery. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Bottle. Thanks Sarah Molner. Co-rate with Greg Clinininin. Deep peachy orange with a solid yellow cream lace. Nose is fruity and hoppy, tropical fruits are heavy with notes of resinous pine and light citrus fruits. Flavor is fruity and lightly bitter upfront, citrus predominates the flavor with some nicely complemented lightly sweet malt undertones. Insanely drinkable for the abv. Wow, this is great beer. This is everything I have always wanted Arrogant Bastard to be. Take note, Stone. Great work, Maine. icehawk (834) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Bottle from Luke; Thanks! Awesome effervesent aroma of fresh pine needles, grass, and fresh citrus. Pours dark amber with foamy white head. Medium body, resiny, slick mouthfeel, minimal carbonation. Tastes like fresh pine tree. More sweet than bitter with citrusy notes as well. More body and sweetness than a typical DIPA, so I can see why this falls into the Strong Ale category. Really excellent beer.

Pours a deep, dark amber color. Murky. Aroma is definitely on the drier hop side. Hops, pine, grass, leaves all come to mind. Heavy palate. Flavors are of bitter sweet hops, orange, and some earthiness. Leaves a bittersweet dry hopped finish. Very good stuff!!! DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid orangy ruby with 3-finger fluffy sticky head. Nose is huge tangerine, pineapple, Simcoe and FF hops. Tastes rich, very tropical fruity, with the aforementioned pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, a huge IBU load, big carame; malt, and finishing black pepper. This one is a hop bomb. ben4321 (6413) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 18, 2013

Appearance: It pours a dark orange-red with a fluffy head and some sticky lace
Flavor: The taste has lots of tropical fruit sweetness, some caramel, and lots of hoppy bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it some stickiness, a soft carbonation, and a dry finish
Rater #11! I couldn’t help but break out this one as a celebratory beer today since it is a new, fresh beer from a great brewery! Anyway, what is there to say other then that this is another great, hoppy beer from Maine. What they are doing in the hop department just works.
Poured from a 500 ml bottle thanks to lukaduke. Thanks man! Pours a semihazy copper with a white head of bubbly foam. Aroma is dank pine with a spicy sweet malt backbone. Taste is a clean hop bitterness with lots of pine. Really nice and clean. Super drinkable, especially for its gravity. So good. BeerandBlues2 (13210) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 25, 2013
