500ml bottle into a New Belgium goblet. A: Pours a hazy orange-copper color. Very hazy, actually. About two fingers of fluffy, off-white head is formed, and the retention is fabulous. The lacing left on the glass is both sudsy and plentiful. S: Unsurprisingly, it’s loaded with citrusy hops. I notice grapefruit, mango, apricot, and melon alongside some more typical pine notes. Slight biscuity maltiness is evident, too. While it didn’t quite blow me away like I expected it to, it’s still a great aroma, head-and-shoulders above many IPAs. T: The citrus notes are even more evident on the flavor profile. A huge opening of fresh grapefruit, apricot, melon, and mango provides an evocative juiciness that I love. Mild pine bitterness and slight biscuity tones appear on an otherwise clean finish. This really does a fantastic job of showcasing fruity hops in a balanced manner. M: Pretty much ideal here: clean, crisp, bone-dry, low bitterness, and light. I’d call it ’easy to drink’, but this is one of those beers I don’t want to end. Soft carbonation adds to the wonderful mouthfeel. O: It’s easy to see why this is hyped. As far as east-coast IPAs go, I can’t think of one that’s on this level - maybe super-fresh Troegs Perpetual IPA or Flower Power? Obviously I haven’t sampled any of the (supposed) Vermont masterpieces, but I’d still imagine this one is really high up the totem pole regardless. And to think I was ready to complain about MBC pricing before sampling this - I’d gladly pay $8/500ml for this one again. And again, and again, and again...

On tap at Hops Hill, Brooklyn. Pours hazy orange, moderate white head. OK, mostly piney, medium+ hoppiness, citrus, sweetish in middle, moderate bitterness in finish. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Quite good, expected a bit more.

On tap at Blue Tusk in Rochester. Nice aroma of mixed citrus, slightly early, pine resin, smooth with a moderate bitterness and a mild boozy bite at the finish as things dry out, some flowery hops and hay, moderate carbonation and full body, enjoyable and easy to drink.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2017 All I can say is, WOW! First one I've had and I have to wonder, where have you been all my life? Served in a 13oz bulb, thick head with a lot of lacing (from the lip down), bright and aromatic, big tropical and citrus fruits up front, little sweet maltiness, finish is clean. Very well done and well balanced.

Taste is great, foam is rich and if poured properly it really keeps the aroma while drinking . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Delicious. This beer has an awesome thick head and pours clear. It's super hoppy, with floral and citrus flavors, and does not disappoint. Highly recommend.

On tap. Golden orange with small white head. Aroma grass, citrus, pine. Medium body. Creamy mouthfeel. Lightly bitter herbal, floral hops with background of tropical fruit. Malt presence is there but mainly for balance. The flavors are not that complex but all is in harmony here, a superb drinking experience.
