Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry. Dry dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Dry dark chocolate. Light bitterish coffee. Whisper of smoke. Dry finish. Standard vanilla porter, lacking the normal Maine fairy dust.

Bottle at home in London with Paul. Pours brown with a small, beige foam head. Burnt cocoa, roasty malt aroma. Medium sweet flavor, light vanilla notes, cocoa, light burnt earth bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some dusty cocoa to finish, some lightly roasted malts, light toasted grass, subtle burnt sugar. Some sweet tobacco. A really nice, easily drinkable stout. I like it.

Nose is roast malt, light molasses, hops, a touch of ginger. Taste comprises roast malt, chocolate, molasses, hops, a little background pine. 500mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of oatmeal, light roasted malt, and some powdered cocoa. Flavour brings out some moderately roasted malt upfront, with some powdered cocoa and much subtler vanilla in back. Finishes thick, like an oatmeal stout with a nice velvety body. A hearty, easy-drinking stout here. Very solid.

Dark brown. On the nose, there’s a lot of toastines, nuttiness. Almost has a smoky quality. On the palate, sweet, with a toasty character, and a light molasses. Decent body...maybe a bit thin but the dark sugars are really nie. For me, it’s more of an old ale or maybe a porter, but whatever you call it, a nice dark ale.

My first beer from Maine Beer Co! Dark opaque black color, steady creamy beige head. Roasted, coffeish aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted, soft, vanilla, coffeish with hints of tobacco. Classic robust stout. Great brew!
