COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

Note: Formerly known as Spring Peeper.

Has high hopes as they just entered this market.. This pale was stale tasting. Definitely not bright and alive flavors. Minimal citrus or pine.. Aroma and taste were lacking big . Clean tastes were not there but to me tasted off. Rubbe/ plastic? But I assume this I'd fresh as they just entered the Chicago market. I'll pass on peepers next time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Pale straw gold color is lightly hazy. Rocky white head. Nice lacing. Fragrant citrusy malt nose. Light citrus malt flavor is clean and crisp. Some yeastiness on the palate as well. Notes of hay and grassy hops. Light bitterness in middle. Dry lemon peel hop finish. Refreshing, but pricy.

Draft. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (lemon oil, grapefruit, grass, melon), with a note of Smarties candy. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Pretty nice, if unexciting. Citrusy-grassy hop nose isn’t my favorite sorta hop bouquet, but it’s pleasant enough. Good bitterness makes it easily quaffable, maybe a little too much citric acidity for me, but it’s well balanced overall.

Draft. Very hazy light yellow. Aroma is like a lemon dish soap after added to water with just a little yeast. Soapy white head. Very light lemon, a little funk, a little spice and pepper, juicy. Wonderful outdoor summer beer.

Alright, here we have our first happy hour offering today. The fresh and frisky Peeper Ale from freshly ascendant Maine Beeer Co., who have made a couple of my recent very favorites. Unfortunately, this one, while still good for what it is, isn’t joining the ranks of my favorites, although it is still nothing to sneeze at. It doesn’t have too strong a smell but it is pleasant and it pours a golden that promises hoppy but isn’t too dank or wild. The taste is a very clean, crisp, and hoppy, but with an extremely drankabbble vibe to it. Ultimately, this was a tasty pale ale, but doesn’t seem to warrant the 6-7 ish bucks that a 16.9 oz bottle can go for at the local Trader Joe’s, but for a 1/2 off happy hour, you could do much worse. Good for happy hour kick off.

Really hazy straw color with creamy white head. Aroma is quite grassy, slightly herbal, a hint of tart citrus fruits. Taste is really balanced with floral hops and no malts. Light bitterness on the finish, quite dry. Light body but really smooth, soft carbonation. Really nice pale ale. Extremely drinkable and smooth.
