kappldav123 (6122) - GERMANY - SEP 24, 2008
The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass also. Almost black, dark foam. Tastes malty and strong, modest dry, not as sweet as others. A bit metallcically finish. Interesting!

On tap at Bamberg Weissbierhaus, Bamberg. Dark brown with off white head. Overall quite sweet with fruity, treacley and tarry flavours, some cardboard notes, quite sharply carbonated and a heady alcohol character.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2008
Dark brown with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and syrup. The flavour has sweetness, notes of syrup, roasted malt and a slightly dry, grapefruit bitterness and the alcohol gives warmth and a slightly burning sensation. OK, but far from outstanding.
