COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
My interpretation of a typical Bavarian wheat, refined with a little bit more hops and the intense aroma of our very own wheat beer yeast. Bold and surprising.
Typical but yet so different. Deep cassis notes mix with Oriental spices and create a fruity, spicy finish.

I invite you to enjoy a refreshing treat for all your senses.

Yours,
Jeff Maisel

En kraftig smag af bock, og ikke ret meget hvede over det. Ikke så skarp som mange bock.

gift from Kyle when I visited Germany - thanks! --- Aroma of caramel and bitter orange. Hazy dark amber, beige head that drops to a thick rim, spots and dots of lace. Taste is malt infused with tangelos - more citrus than bitter - then a sense of a lot more alcohol than the advertised 7.1%. It’s okay, but doesn’t quite work for me.

Pours cloudy honey to amber colour. Moderate white airy head. Aroma: banana, berries, spices, light phenols. Medium body. Lively carbonation. The taste is light sweet. Powerful. Vinous. Banana, spices, warming alcohol. Light bitterness. Very fine.

Bottle from Carrefour. Pours a beautiful hazy orange/light reddish color, with medium head. Definitely clove and banana which is standard for the style. More banana than clove, but very tasty. Taste is banana, fresh floral hops, mellow bitterness, sweet and fresh. Cannot taste the alcohol, but again 7.1% is not that much. Spicy and fresh. I would say it is a bit underpowered and could use more of a punch. A good buy from a local supermarket. Good.

Kulhuse 15/4 2017. 75 cl bottle shared at Easter Lunch. Maisel & Friends usual design in red. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Settles as patchy thin layer of foam. Aroma is not very strong. Caramel intermingling with Orange and a slightly boozy whiff. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is sweet. Followed by a sour and bitter tang. But not unpleasantly so. Aftertaste is sweet caramel with citric Orange Peel. Not a typical wheat beer - but works quite well with a heavy Easter lunch.

Kornthal-Muchingen. Shared from bottle courtesy of Michael, vielen dank! Murky deep amber with white head. Sweet malts, caramel, citrus, orangepeel, some lemon juice, brown bread, dark honey, some grassy notes. Moderate sweet and quite a broad bitter palate. Vegetal, leathery. Medium body, soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish.
