biir (1596) - Berlin, - NOV 14, 2015
Aufgrund von Erbstreitigkeiten ging diese sympathische Brauerei kaputt. Schade, denn obwohl Maisel in Bamberg eher ein Schattendasein führte war das Pils doch spitze!

Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
Sauberes Pils! Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,12,12,13,11,12 - 12,20

(bottle) pours a clear, pale golden colour with a frothy white head. very subtle and surprising aroma of floral hops, yeast, banana, caramel and grainy pale malts. flavour is clean, with solid grainy pale malts and a yeasty bread and lightly bitter herbal hop finish. light to medium carbonation and body.

Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml, from REAL Supermarket, Bamberg. Pale gold with white head, mid carbonation. Light malty Pilsener, quite grainy then with just a light toasty effect. Quite smooth and a touch sweet, it certainly lacks a needed hop punch. Fairly average.

Draught in Veilbronn. Clear golden, small head. Buttery nose with some diacetyl. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Notes of grass, but generally lacking in hops. Medium bitterness. The lagerbiers from Maisel seem all to be sub par by Bamberg standards.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2008
From Tap in Maisel Keller Bamberg. Golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of flower, malt and caramel. The flavour has some nice and smooth caramel, malt, grass, grapefruit and other citrus fruits and a refreshing bitterness. It’s a nice pilsner.

Yellow colored, medium sized white head. Aroma is mildly hopped with slight metallic tone, lemon still good in here with this German-hoppy touch. Medium bodied. Surprisingly sweet-rich flavor with this juicy and fruity tone, still maybe even too sweet to be excellent German-pils. Lemon still in aftertaste. Wonder where hops vanished after fine aroma.

downender (8882) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2007
Bottle from REWE, Bamberg. Pale gold with a slight white head. Aroma was of grain and hay. Flavour had some sweet malt and a bitter finish. Ok.

Ungstrup (38413) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2007
Draft. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of grain. The flavor is sweet malty and also with a light touch of grain, leading to a slightly bitter finish.
