Tasty beer, banana and spicy yeasty flavours, an excellent german wheat, tasty.

copper gold color. big head - gone quickly. tangy/fruity/yeasty taste - 'bright' tasting. medium body; thicker than expected.

Large head on pour, but dissipates quickly. Nice muddy copper color. Aroma reminds me of apple baby food -- sweet and appley, but not quite like cider or applesauce. Has a sweet chewiness with a mildly bitter finish and a bit of hard cider in there. Has a very balanced fullness. Interesting.

Cloudy copper body (I'm surprised there's no 'dunkel' in the name), big head that almost completely dissipated. Sweet aroma of peach and yeast, along with trace of alcohol. Flavor is surprisingly complex, with peach, caramel and yeast the most prominent. Banana's in there as well. Sourness asserts itself slightly on the swallow. This has a relatively clean palate that holds the flavor well. I really enjoyed this beer.

rauchbier (3926) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2002
Darker than many Weissebiers, orange amber with moderate rocky head and plenty of condition. Not as good as weihenstephan but way better than Erdinger.

OlJuntan64 (1265) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 1, 2002
Hazy yellow-orange-brown colour with medium-large chunky looking medium lasting creamy head. Aromas include cidery sour, malty and hops. Smooth weisse beer balanced palate, some sour but not too much. Clean refreshing slightly sour, weet-bix finish and aftertaste. Definitely the best weisse beer I've had yet. pale amber colour with head, fine fruity aroma (banana and peach), sweet and quite neutral flavour - a little bit heavy

Rutzicka (102) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 19, 2002
This beer has a nice foam with a pale brown colour. Its aroma is quite discreet with notes of yeast. The flavour is a little bit flat with a quite short finish

Another great example of an ur-weiss. Slightly darker in color with great phenols of clove and banana.
