VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 19, 2002
Opaque russet. Thick, sticky light tan foam. Streaming carbonation. Abundant Weizen notes in the aroma. Apple, lemon, clove, vanilla with hints of tartness. Initially a bit spritzy but with a solid body beneath. Gentle apple tartness. Medium body. Not very thick or creamy, but adequate. Mild clove, vanilla and banana faceoff. As it warms the cloves win out. Tartness remains. Finishes less bubbly with a maraschino cherry essence that comes out of nowhere. Solid, but hardly world class.

Wheaty nose with floral hints, deep amber colour with almost perfect pillow of white, creamy froth. Strong peachy-apricot, banana flavours blend in a cloying maltiness. Clean sweet finish. Brillyant mate, get it up ya...

Great appreance but the flavour and aroma lacks the bitterness of some wheat beers. Generally its flavour is very sweet.

After a week of drinking wine on the Rhine this one tasted good. Not as good as the fresh Farny in Lindau, or Allgauer in Kempten but still pretty good.

Very middle of the road Hefeweizen. A bit darker than normal. Light, fruity aroma. Runs toward a nutty or grainy flavor. Only slight clove flavor. A bit more effervescence than necessary. Leaves a tangy aftertaste.

Light yeasty nose. Brownish-orange color and fat tan head. Taste is laced with cloves and spices. Full mouth feel and the flavor stays in you cheeks for a while. Good Hefeweizen- - I really like this. Has a little more hutzpah than others.

Sweet banana aroma, but light. Nice orange color with a rocky head. Yeasty, with a long refreshing finish. Very nice wheat!
