A typical example of what is unique about beer from the Czech Republic, the slightly bitter aftertaste typical of Pilsner lager is unmistakeable in this speciality of the city of Jilhava, its brewery and the river of the same name, encapsulating the story of its beer and the surrounding countryside in which it is produced using Zatec hops, malt and the purest of water.

ebone1988 (2072) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - APR 25, 2017
Aroma is malty, sweet corn, slightly fruity, slight earthy hops. Appearance is amber golden, hazy, light tan head. Taste is robust, earthy hops, sweet corn, very malty, fruity, floral, strange for the style. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, malty earthy sweet aftertaste. Overall, this seems off for the style.

50 cl bottle from an Italian supermarket. Grainy malts, cereal, light noble hops. Deep gold with orange tints. Malty, biscuits, bit sweet, touch of hops. Ok balance and not horrible. Doesn’t piss me off.

Clear golden coloured, medium sized creamy white head, mild buttery hoppy nose.

Teran (332) - Belgrade, SERBIA - APR 29, 2016
Little bit better than ordinary Eu Pilsner. There was no bad Czech pilsner in the past, but nowadays one can find a lot of them quite bad. This one is not disappointment, at least.
