Such a pleasure... That’s what a Belgian strong ale is supposed to be. Deep, without compromises and having an aftertaste you can’t forget. That being said, if you’re familiar with the St. Bernardus tripel, this one is very close, perhaps a bit better but not by much. Alcohol level is quite high, present in mouth, but not overwhelming and pleasant. Deep taste, quite similar to many other Belgian ones but much more complex in mouth. This is a real beer. This is the real deal. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

33cl bottle compliments of Matt Lucatamo at State Line Liquors. Pours cloudy golden yellow with thin layer of brown sediment at bottom of glass. Aroma is apples, cotton candy, pears, slight yeast. Taste is sweet, candy sugar, pears, maybe some clove cool-minty notes? Pleasant notes of dry hopping to balance the sweetness and body. Fantastic brew, perfection.

Bottle 33cl. Yellow with a fluffy white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma of malts, fruits (lemon?). The taste is quite bitter with a dryness that gets stronger in the aftertaste.

Belgisk, som de nu kan brygges. Den stikker ikke ud, er slet ikke dårlig, den er bare en blandt mange. Fin fin, drik den gerne, men det er ikke en smage øl på den måde!skunky,

Gold and strong beer, nice foamy presentation, I taste sweet and sourintentions, a bit of malt, a small honeytaste wich is not dominant, dry aftertaste. for me, it misses a strong taste in order to rate it better. I would drink it when I need a refreshing strong beer.

Note de sucré, type caramel bien dosé. Des sensation herbals, floral et houblon . Arrière bouche amertume léger . Bonne longueur ! Très bonne carbonisation.
