bottle from st-bock A: grappy, dark fruits. App: brownminimal/ white head. T/p: full body finish is sweet and long. o: sweet ale
Bottle. Pours deep brown/black with light brown head. Aroma is fruity (plum and grape), hops, coffee and malt. Light bitterness, mid/heavy sweet finish. A beautiful surprise and wonderful beer. rdb84 (641) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2018
Pours as one would expect a Belgian double to pour. A: toffee and malts upfront, hoppy nonetheless with floral and spicy elements, nutmeg, rosewater, koriander, oatmeal. T: packs quite a punch however there is no alcoholic kick, it's there throughout. Spicy, bready start with grass and floral notes, turns spicy with nutmeg and pepper maybe some ginger and gingerbread. Finish is malty, mildly bitter and a bit sticky. DØE bestyrelse. Appearance: pours slightly hazy brown with ok beige soapy beige head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, alcohol, brown sugar, chocolate, light anise seed and dried fruity notes. palette: strong malty and yeasty aroma, average carbonation, medium to full body, distinct sweetness, unbalanced by a light to medium bitterness, average to long duration and an oily texture. Overall: Nice yeasty things going on, but way to sweet and alcoholic
Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma is quite sugary with sweet fruity notes like dark berries. Taste has brown sugar, dark dried fruits, some yeasty flavors, earthy and slightly roasty bitterness on the finish. Body is on the light side, medium plus carbonation. Overall it's a quite good quad with a complex taste. NiklasT (144) - SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2017 Chestnut in color, with a beige head. Wonderfull Aroma dominated by dark cherries and plums. Taste follows the same line with well balanced sweetness. Sweet but not too sweet. Very nice!

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma of malts, dark fruits, raisins, caramel. Full body with high carbonation. Taste is nicely balanced medium sweet with alcohol warmth. Nice. Blastomorpha (150) - - SEP 10, 2017
Immediatly after opening the bottle there's a fragrance of banana. Unusual for this style, but interesting. Unfortunatly ater the pouring the aroma is not existing almost. Taste is sweet and winery, similar to a Gulden Draak but way less rich and more alcoholic. A bit disappointing. SinH4 (6559) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 25, 2017
Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head that goes down quickly. Aroma is chocolate, prunes, floral, red grapes. Taste is prunes, chocolate, vineous, even a bit tart, some port wine and hazelnuts. High carbonation. Stays surprisingly light in its body, but the booze is definitely detectable. A sipper, definitely a good beer, but not as great as expected after the 10 was a really pleasant surprise, but maybe that’s because it’s still summer outside.
