COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

25 cl. bottle. Unclear, amber-golden with a bubbly, white head. Sweet aroma with yeasts, fruits, citrus, grasses and caramel malts. Taste is lightly sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with yeasts, citrus and fruits. Very enjoyable, "lighter" Belgian.

Clear golden with stable, airy, rocky white head. Citrus and yeast aroma. Similar flavour with a little spice and lasting bitterness. Ok, but the flavour doesn’t really follow through.

This beer raises a white and persistent foam at this blond Belgian. The smell is not much, but there is mostly nothing fruity about the smell, which I also find pleasant. The taste is very light malty and has a finely balanced hint of citrus and orange. The hops is not particularly lengthy. It may seem a little watery. As a whole, I find it quite satisfactory, but in no way surprising.

Orange golden color, medium frothy head. Slightly murky after yeast. Aroma: marzipan infused with a strong yeast presence, citrus notes, some faint cheese and walnut notes. Taste: cheese notes are more present now, otherwise a very standard Belgian blonde. Starts with a slight tang, faint marzipan notes. Develops a tangy medium bitterness with cheese notes. After yeast, the tang is removed and the mouthfeel is quite mellow. Aftertaste is a bit boozy, and reveals citrus.

Light blond with foamy white head. Malty and lightly yeasty. Dry lightly sour and with a bitter finish. Body is quite light, average carbonation. A balanced light blonde that is surprinsgly refreshing for a belgian.

Golden hazy with medium white head. Dry citrusy bitter taste, bit dusty. Bit of sourness and almost no sweet notes. Mild bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden body, medium to small head. Sweet yeasty aroma with wheat. Sweet wheaty/yeasty taste. Adequate hoppiness. Alright table beer but a forgettable drop in the vast ocean of Belgian Blondes. Could do with a stronger character. PS: "Malheur 6" sounds like a name for a French rap sextet or a metal band.

250 ml bottle, BB date 30.11.2014, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Nice spicy aroma, also sweetish notes of light syrup. Plenty of carbonation in the mouth. Lightly spicy flavour, also malts and white kandij sugar, medium sweet, very moderate hops.

250ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours hazy gold with good white head. It’s a basic blonde, soft, doughy and lightly sweet but it’s a blonde done well. Gotta love a good Malheur.
