In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

Buongiorgio00 (934) - - JUN 5, 2014
Una classica belgian ale, piacevolmente fruttata e arricchita da note dolci, di lieviti e una leggera punta mielata.

TET (3030) - Kaarina, FINLAND - MAY 11, 2014
A cloudy, yellow beer with a medium and white head. The nose is fruitfull with lemon, oranges, spices, some herbs and honey, fresh. Taste is fruitfull, strongly spicy, some sourness, quite dry and herbal end. Medium bodied, strong carbonation, fresh. Nice blond, quite complex and tastefull.

Japalo (1886) - DENMARK - APR 29, 2014
[email protected] One finger foam. Banana yeasty notes. Smooth dry. Good carbonation. Slight tarte. Fine not very complex brew.

Chudwick (3198) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - APR 9, 2014
25cl bottle into wrong glass - nose is metallic yeast. Wet bread meets hay. Fairly light for 6% ABV. Slight peppery finish. Did not meet expectations.

Moolesen (558) - NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2014
Bottle 25cl. Cloudy Golden with a huge white head. Some hops in the aroma. Taste also reveils some pinetree. Quite a rich beer with high carbonization.

StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2014
A pale golden yellow coloured beer with a frothy and thick white head. A light, dusty malt smell, biscuity, then a tropical fruit hop aroma with a hint of spice. Medium-dry mouthfeel. A dry, biscuity malt taste to start, but this is only brief, it is soon taken over by a tangy tropical fruit hop flavour, with pineapple, banana and citrusy grapefruit and lemon. There is a hint of clove and cinnamon spice, reminiscent of a wheat beer. The finish is long, tangy fruit along with the spices.

RickFifty (1254) - Fredrikstad, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2014
Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, fruity nose, almonds, marzipan, present Belgian yeast. Fruity, malty taste, Belgian yeast. Medium body, moderate to high carbonation.

MarcoDL (4918) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 23, 2014
Belgian blond beer, with a fruity nose. Very yeasty and relatively hoppy. Decent.

DwarfeD (3513) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - MAR 21, 2014
33cl bottle at home. Clear golden with a medium white head which disappeared quickly. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium sweetness with some bitter tones. Grass, herbs, fruits and some hops. A refreshing blonde Belgian brew.

jmgreenuk (9444) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 12, 2014
Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Den Haag. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is strong yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a sharp crisp yeast light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Very Belgian with that signature yeast. Nice enough but it’s yesterday’s beer.
