In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

More Belgian White perhaops? Big fizzy head and a murky orange / lemon body. Plernty of citrus fruits on the nose; actually reasonably intense. Body of beer is very dry with aniseed and lots of fizz, but not much else. Similiar to the White Rabbit but a bit more obvious flavour.

Clear orange, nice white head. Artificial taste and aroma, like a malt liquor, sweet and alcohol, despite the low abv.

Very hazy golden body with a small white head that settles as a thin layer, some lacing. The aroma is rather strong and quite candy sweet, but also with hints of dust. Its fruity with banana, bubble gum, spices, yeast and traces of vanilla. A very light sweetness and bitterness, and the finish isnt very long-lasting. The quite strong flavours are a bit less candy-ish than the aroma and the spices are more evident. Medium to light bodied, a bit water body with a dry finish, lively carbonation. Quite good.

[email protected] One finger foam. Banana yeasty notes. Smooth dry. Good carbonation. Slight tarte. Fine not very complex brew.

Golden hazy with medium white head. Dry citrusy bitter taste, bit dusty. Bit of sourness and almost no sweet notes. Mild bitter aftertaste.

Pours out lightly yellow, golden colored. A good sized white head that holds good. Smell of yeast, spices and some citrus. A bit between a pilsner and triple. Taste is sour-bitterness, some spices and citrus. A bit flat.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden body, medium to small head. Sweet yeasty aroma with wheat. Sweet wheaty/yeasty taste. Adequate hoppiness. Alright table beer but a forgettable drop in the vast ocean of Belgian Blondes. Could do with a stronger character. PS: "Malheur 6" sounds like a name for a French rap sextet or a metal band.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark straw colour with a big whipped eggwhite-like off-white head. Aroma of citrus, Belgian yeast and some sweet fruit and spices. Mild flavour with much of the same but with more pale malt, straw and hay. Has a smooth and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A solid and mild Belgian blond ale.

(on bottle) Vague, but complex, fruity nose and a champagne-fresh mouthfeel. Its a straight beer, not overpowered, has an applecider-like finish to it Would be perfect for cervice(raw lemon-marinaded haddock with chilli).
