COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

More Belgian White perhaops? Big fizzy head and a murky orange / lemon body. Plernty of citrus fruits on the nose; actually reasonably intense. Body of beer is very dry with aniseed and lots of fizz, but not much else. Similiar to the White Rabbit but a bit more obvious flavour.

Bottle (Utobeer): Golden clear with a medium white head. Fruity, estery pepper aroma with pinapple and a touch of yeasty bread. Flavour is a little simple, mild fruits, dry spicy estery finish. Not bad.

tfredvik (2027) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 5, 2013
Very hazy golden body with a small white head that settles as a thin layer, some lacing. The aroma is rather strong and quite candy sweet, but also with hints of dust. It’s fruity with banana, bubble gum, spices, yeast and traces of vanilla. A very light sweetness and bitterness, and the finish isn’t very long-lasting. The quite strong flavours are a bit less candy-ish than the aroma and the spices are more evident. Medium to light bodied, a bit water body with a dry finish, lively carbonation. Quite good.

Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - AUG 4, 2013
Tried at Anders Bier festival in Tongeren. Pale orange beer, nice white creamy head that disappear slowly. Aroma is grainy, malty. Flavor is quite sweet, with some hints of malt and yeast. Mouthfeel is low carbonation, light to medium body. I’ve got a little bit disappointed after try the Malheur 10! :/

Foffern (1963) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark straw colour with a big whipped eggwhite-like off-white head. Aroma of citrus, Belgian yeast and some sweet fruit and spices. Mild flavour with much of the same but with more pale malt, straw and hay. Has a smooth and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A solid and mild Belgian blond ale.

Clear orange, nice white head. Artificial taste and aroma, like a malt liquor, sweet and alcohol, despite the low abv.

[email protected] One finger foam. Banana yeasty notes. Smooth dry. Good carbonation. Slight tarte. Fine not very complex brew.

Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - AUG 16, 2010
Pours out lightly yellow, golden colored. A good sized white head that holds good. Smell of yeast, spices and some citrus. A bit between a pilsner and triple. Taste is sour-bitterness, some spices and citrus. A bit flat.
