COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

Bottle, 25cL. Home. A golden orange beer with brown hues ; large white head with a medium retention. Fruity aroma (lemon), herbs and a "metallic" note. Medium dry bitter, light sweet. Light body, medium texture, medium to fizzy carbonation, bitter finish. Overall, a good one : balanced bitterness and herbal aroma ; close to a "saison".

At Cambrinus in Halle. Unfiltered pale ale. On the lighter side for a Belgium beer but refreshing.

De minste van de Malheur-bieren voor mij persoonlijk, niet zoveel smaak aan deze.

Icedwarf (1657) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - AUG 29, 2015
Geel bier met schuim. Smaak is zoet en fruitig, citrus en abrikoos. Verder wat zwak van smaak.

StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2014
A pale golden yellow coloured beer with a frothy and thick white head. A light, dusty malt smell, biscuity, then a tropical fruit hop aroma with a hint of spice. Medium-dry mouthfeel. A dry, biscuity malt taste to start, but this is only brief, it is soon taken over by a tangy tropical fruit hop flavour, with pineapple, banana and citrusy grapefruit and lemon. There is a hint of clove and cinnamon spice, reminiscent of a wheat beer. The finish is long, tangy fruit along with the spices.

Pale sleightly hazy golden with a bubbling white head. Aroma is citrus flower with a good amount of dusty hobs and minor fruity esters. Flavor is quite sweet but mainly sour citrus fruits. Not that special for a belgian brew
