75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Lovely champagne like carbonation bobbles. Aroma is rather winegrape fruity with a mild esteric and sweet note. Flavour holds a complex mix of malt, grapes and belgian yeast. The malt flavours lend towards almond notes, grapes provide a lovely fruity yet slight easteric note and the yeast gives a complex subdued spice note. Lingers with almond notes into the finish. Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge very white head. The aroma has strong notes of citrus fruits, brettanomyces, yeast, and flowers. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of yeast, fruit - especially citrus fruits, alcohol, and spices. The alcohol, tickles the tongue, before a dry spicy and slightly woody finish sets in. The mouthfeel is very sparkling - due to a high level of carbonation. joergen (29611) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2005

Bottled. Golden colour, huge white creamy head. Aroma of fruits, barnyard and sugar. Flavour is barnyardish, soapy and fruity. Dry alcohol in finish. About beerstyle I think it was more like saison meets lager and wheat beer than strong ale... madmitch76 (26435) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2016

Almost clear gold beer, massive white head, huge! Palate is light, semi dry and mildly crisp. Thin sweetish malts. Sweetish floralness. Mild and sweet generic fruits. Little yeast on the finish. Pretty disappointing. The Essex champagne ales of the last couple of years have been much better, Red Fox, Brentwood, Farmers Ales and Mersea Island have all done better than this somewhat insipid and sweet affair.
Bottle from Grobbendonk, brought to DC local tasting. Bright yellow color, champagne-like head. Aroma of licorice and white pepper. Taste is smooth lemon cream pie, but lacks character and complexity. I had high expectations for this one, but I was disappointed. omhper (25955) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2006
[Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm] Pale golden. Very lively brief head, Yeasty aroma of banana and raspberries. Medium sweet and medium bodied with soft, spritzy mouthfeel. The comparably light body gives alcohol plenty of room, creating a liqueur-like raspberry flavour. Fruity with evident notes of almond and a hint of butter. (Bottle 75 cl) Unclear pilsener golden with a rather handsome, creamy head. Aroma of yeast and malt. Rather heavily carbonated - huge, vulgar bubbles campagne style. Sweetish malty flavour - and nothing much more really. Surprisingly ordinary. 010106
