toast, resin, citrus, herbs, leaves, cough drop, pale, clear, sparkling, white foam, light sweetness, very bitter, medium sourness, full body, thick feel, average carbonation, bitter, janubio (863) - SPAIN - DEC 29, 2007
750 ml corked bottle. It pours a yellow opaque cloudy colour, with an enormous head that leaves a very nice lace. Aroma of fruits, flowers, citrus, cloves, peaches, sherry wine. Silky, delicate palate. Very dense body, you can almost chew it. Mouth of fruits, champagne, apricot, wood (cask conditioned?), some bitterness at first, but there’s a sweet counter point, ginger, apples...
This is just another Malheur work of art. Otterguto (2) - BRAZIL - APR 13, 2012 does not count
Pours light yellow with high and persistent head. High carbonation and slightly turbid with yeast on the bottom. Fruity and a little sour mouthfeel, has medium body not expected for a brut. Finishes alcoholic and sweet, with bitter notes after some minutes. Good rare brut and worth its price for a good experience. henrikb (1263) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2007
2005 - Clear golden-golden body with lots of sparkle and a huge lasting white head; Beautiful deep very Belgium nose, dense rye bread malty with a green fruity touch; Big carbonation in a super balanced bitter sweet body, big, complex and elegant; Long finish with a slight spicy alcohol touch, lots of aroma: nutty, malty, spicy. Malheur uuuuhhhmmmmm! txspartan (1080) - Berchem, BELGIUM - MAR 8, 2011
Excellent champagne beer that apparently they stopped brewing. I’m very glad to have tried this when I could.

Remarkable flavor, characteristic of a long maturation. Bitterness in aroma and flavor which is elongated by hops. ekstedt (6786) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2008
From a 75 cl bottle at Zythos Beer Festival 2008. Shady deep golden with a small white head. Tropical fruits, floral hops, butterscotch, and some yeasty notes in an enchanting combination. Medium bodied with soft, yet lively, carbonation. Very well balanced, starts off sweet, ends with a lingering soft bitterness. JoeinDahlem (1521) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2007
Bottle @ Zythos. Yellow and clear with champagne-like bubbles suspended throughout, full head. Faint lemon-honey aroma. Champagne mouthfeel, nicely dry, is the star of the show. Lemony quality with some dryness, hops. Noticeable alcohol in flavor and finish, but not excessive. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 25, 2007

I was kind of guessing that this beer would be a bit of a dissapointment, but thankfully i was wrong. This was quite full bodied fairly yeasty, but not overly sweet, sticky or alcoholic. This has some nice florla wild flower aromas and the a palate was slightly juicy and slight sour bitter. The flavour seems to last a while, and there is some lovely fresh citrus and some nice hops in the finish. I was quite impressed.
750 ml. bottle from rare beer club. Great champagne like beer. Drank on New years instead of champagne. Lots of citrisy hops in this one, awesome flavor.
