BlackHaddock (7674) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2016
24th June 2016: hand-pulled half-pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire. Another golden beer from Mallinsons, the name of course gives away the flavour, so another golden beer from Mallinsons with a citrus taste. Samey, with the Citra hops doing what they do best (if you like citrusy beers).

mR_fr0g (13492) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2015
Cask at beer emporium Bristol. Clear golden. Small white head. Aroma is base cereal, zippy lemon. Flavour is semi sweet caramel, and base grains, harsh lemon bitterness. Out of balance bitterness, rough round the edges bitter lemon. Palate is decent cask condition, semi sweet.

Towey1989 (3262) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2015
Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear golden colour with a thick, creamy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, some peach and slight grassy hops. Taste of grapefruit, orange, some mango, slight straw and subtle grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Good use of citra hops makes this low ABV beer shine. Tad sweet at first but good.

Palate - Light body, bitter zest, light sweet pale malts. Finish of fresh grapefruit bitter zest
Overall - A superb Golden Ale, just so well made. Not had it on cask, but I reckon the bottle version is best
