Kauge (2127) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 27, 2017
Bottle. BB 07.03.2018. Translucent reddish brown with creamy head. Nice toasty nutty malty aroma, some grassy pungent hoppiness; flavour likewise. The Eldorado gives it a pretty nice twist. Pleasant mouthfeel too. I’m not a big fan of the style but this one I quite like.

olio (10593) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 22, 2017
50 cl bottle @ home. BBE 07.03.2019.

Pours dark copper color with a medium sized head. Aroma is hoppy and a bit fruity, caramel malty, faint nut notes. Flavor is also a bit fruity due to the hops, a bit juicy even, biscuits, subtle malt and nutty notes at the end. The balance is a bit off with all the fruitiness.

Marstonlad (963) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 8, 2017
UPDATED: APR 8, 2017 Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours brown with a medium-sized frothy head. The aroma nutty and bisquity, slightly toasty maltiness with a touch of fruitiness - pretty much what was promised im the label. Taste is light bitter initially, rising a bit towards the finish. Nutty, bready maltiness is paired with a touch of hoppy fruitiness. The balance between the two is fairly good. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and average in carbonation. Balanced but slightly boring; stronger hoppiness or a more solid malt presence would have added edge. Could work as a companion for food.

Bottle. Dark amber, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, light caramel and light - some tropical fruitiness, light - some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light - some caramel, faint - light tropical fruitiness, light grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy with ligh bread, lightly sweetish, light caramel and faint tropical fruitiness, ligh - some grapefruit hoppyness, light metal. Nice fruity aroma. Flavor/finish lacks fruitiness and finish could use more bitterness (found in aroma) bitterness. Disappointing one - as most of brown ales are.

minihame2 (760) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 7, 2017
Dark brown colour, thick tan head. Malty aroma with nuts, sweet tones. Taste is also malty, very light bitterness Smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation, medium body. Decent ale but pretty light flavoured.

TET (3232) - Kaarina, FINLAND - APR 7, 2017
A dark brown beer, a head is quite small and beige. Aroma has breadyness, riped fruitness with cantaloupe. Taste is musty, breadyness, some riped fruits, bitterness. Medium bodied. There is something weird in this beer.

Nurmis (837) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 2, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours hazy brown with small tanned head. Sweet caramel malts, grassy hops. Medium bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel would have been better with slightly more carbonation.

Svesse (8830) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2017
(Draught at Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki, 25 Oct 2016) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, red fruit and blood orange. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, red fruit, a touch of cinnamon, orange peel and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
