Maltaisessa Metsossa hanasta. Karski paahtoisuus tykkään, suklaata, hiiltä, makeahko. Hyvä runsas suutuntuma.

mice (1065) - FINLAND - JUL 21, 2016

Marduk (8493) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 7, 2016
500ml bottle (thanks mjs). Very dark hrown color. Medium size, thick brown head, stays. Looks nice. Dusty, dark chocolate, some hops, bit milky in aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate, delicate hops, grainy in taste. Nice spicy hops and roasted chocolate malts in aftertaste. Full body. So easy to drink. Nice nuttyness too. Fantastic brew!

500ml bottle - thanks mjs!

Lovely roasty aroma, burntish, but not harsh. Deep brown, nice persistent tight beige head. Gorgeous roasty taste, again no harshness. Fulish, but not heavy palate. Finish has a nice dry bitterness. Super drinkable porter, the dryness makes you thirsty for another sip. Restronasals have a lovely estery aspect. Everything about this is very solid, it’s a shame we ony have one bottle, I’d like more. Late finish nutty and dry, and with the occasional tear.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, black, with a good, dark beige head. Aroma is roast, light oak and liquorice and vanilla. Stronger in the beginning. Taste is semi-thin, oak and vanilla, roast, some wood, chocolate. Could be fuller with weaker carbonation. Needs more body this one.

500ml bottle from Alko

BBE 19.09.2017 - Pours dark brown, almost black with a thick bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, hints of oak, berries, vanilla and toffee. Taste is smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with some berries, vanilla, hints of oak, wood and toffee. Finish is sweetish, smooth and slightly roasty with some vanilla, oak and berries. Okay, but a bit too much berries here.

500ml bottle shared by djoeye, Deep coal black body. Filmy layer. Minimal lacing. Roasted malty aroma, hints of liquorice and oak. Roasted dark malty flavours. Papery dry ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant to a certain extent (session with Skinnyviking, Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 07.12.2015).

3.5
Marstonlad (962) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 10, 2015
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours black with a medium-sized head. The aroma features roasty maltiness, rye bread, tar, licorice and coffee. Taste is dryish, roasty and robustly malty; bread, bisquit and licorice appear with some woody undertones. Not much sweetness, dry and roasty character. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and low in carbonation. Nice flavours and very well balanced overall. Could be a bit fuller but a good porter as it is.
