COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: Previously known as Huvila Oak Porter

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Very deep ambery brown colour, close to black, with small brown head. Aroma is some wood, mild vanilla, chocolate and quite nice alcohol sweetness coming in as well. Flavour is chocolate, mild roasted notes, vanilla, some alcohol as well as some wooden notes. Rather nice brew, but a bit thin as for the palate.

Opaque dark brown color, good steady beige head, lace. Oaky aroma with vanilla and toasted chocolaty notes. Medium-bodied. Quite dry flavor, wood, licorice and dark malts. Tasty although quite simple.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2017 500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki) (8:5:7:4:15=3.9)
Black, and a lovely tight tan head. Aroma is lovely smoky peaty whisky - just lovely. Beautiful roasty porter taste - nice dry woodiness. Some nice wininess in the retronasals. Finish wonderfull, dry and woody, and really dry and barky . Super drinkable, no sign of the 7% at all. As it warms, it even fills out, and the woodiness and barky bitterness builds up - don’t drink this too cool, let it warm.

Lovely rich roasty aroma. Loveely tarriness to the taste. Full palate. Still utterly delicious.

Thanks to Finn for sharing a 500ml bottle. Partially remaining tan-coloured head leaving good lacing at the upper level of the glass. Pitch black body. Drying aroma of cocoa and liquorice. Brown malty flavours alongside moments of ash, oak and liquorice. Semi sweet malty ending. Well bodied. Velvety in the mouth. A pleasure to drink a brew like this, very nice (at Finns place in Tromsø 27.05.2014).
