COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: Previously known as Huvila Oak Porter

Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - APR 19, 2013
0.5 l bottle from Alko. Dark brown color. Aromas and flavors of toffee, toasted bread and chocolate with restrained oak and vanilla. Rounded palate with some woodiness in the palate. Oakiness is restrained, which is nice. Tastes quite mellow and rounded, I would like to have more sharpness, a bit more roasted malts and bitterness.

Martinus (4701) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - JUN 22, 2015
Black colour, off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, coffee, cacao and vanilla. Flavour sweet raisins, vanilla, coffee and whisky. Bit thin. Finish raisins, cacao, molasses. Decent, but held on to this one for a bit too long, think it was better when more fresh.
(From 50cL bottle shared @ ElManana’s Massaman tasting, Gent)

MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle traded with a random stranger @ Borefts. Pours a black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma of oak, probably bourbon oak, molasses and caramel with fudge. Some touches of vanilla return in both aroma and flavor. Flavor is medium sweet and creamy mouthfeel. Full bodied, nicely balanced. Good beer.

teddybeer (4112) - Madrid, SPAIN - AUG 29, 2013
[Thanks to oh6gdx]. Bottle. Dark brown colour, almost black with a good presence of a beige head with good duration and moderate lasting. Aroma is roasty, black chocolate, vanilla and smoky notes. Flavor is quite similar as aroma, coffee and black chocolate notes, hints of smoke and ashes, moderate bittery and slightly dry. The final is black chocolate and strong coffee with a light bitterness.

mile (4051) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 25, 2013
Bottle. Very dark brown, large and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, some roasted malt, light coffee, light vanilla/oak, faint hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel with some roasted malt, light coffee, light vanilla and light hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, faint caramel, some roasted malt - light coffee, some vanilla and light bitterness. X-Porter with twist of oak chips (and therefore less bitterness): "Create a hype - oak it".

RexTalionis (3798) - FINLAND - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle 50 cl. Pours reddish black in color with small beige head. Roasted coffee, light smokey notes and burnt wood in aroma. Light burnt wood, roasted coffee, milk chocolate, wooden oaky notes and hints of some vanilla or forrest berries in taste. Slightly roasted malts and hints of coffee mixed light vanillachocolate notes in aftertaste. Feels a bit thin somehow at first, got better towards the end and is otherwise quite tasty and has even a twist of bourbon sweetness in finish.

TET (3207) - Kaarina, FINLAND - FEB 9, 2013
A colablack beer with a medium, thick and beige head. Aroma is mix of roastiness, chocolate, nice sweetness and some whiskeybarrel. Very enjoyable aroma. Taste is quite dry, roastiness, black coffee, some strenght from whiskey, dry woods and herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and low carbonation, pleasant to drink. The great beer, balanced, complex, just enjoy.

Bottle. Pours black with a medium, dark latte head. Aroma is vanilla, roast, salty liquorice oak. Rather sweet with treacle and liquorice. Taste doesn’t really match what I expected - Not much in the way of vanilla. Salty liquorice and roast in the beginning. Some coffee and slight, dark chocolate. A bit of wood and flower from the hops on the finish. Oak as well as the vanilla finally making an appearance. Palate is full.
