Keg at Malmo Taproom. It pours clear rich amber with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet, toffee, wood, resin, brown bread, dried fruits, raisin and a touch of fart. The taste is sweet, sticky, pine, resin, leather, spice, raisin, sultana, toffee, spice, booze, leather, hint of solvent and some astringency with a dry, warming finish. Full body, moderate carbonation. Not bad, but probably average for the style.

Bottle sample at SBWF15. Brown with reddish tint, beige head. Aroma is malty and sweet, dark fruit notes, dates, figs, slight liquorice, caramel, bready toffee and raisins. Taste is fruity and sweet malty, caramel, toffee, slight liquorice, slight burnt sugar, spice with some alcohol in the finish. Nice one

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 26 Sep 2015) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel and raisins. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar, some resin and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness.Quite heavy with some alcohol shining through, but still in good balance. Nice one.

Keg at the brewery tap room, RBESG ’15 day 2, 21/08/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a well appointed light beige swirl. Nose is rich fruits, dates, trace of liquorice, spice, caramel. Taste comprises fruit cake, background hops, caramelised brown sugars, liquorice, aniseed balls, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Decent sipper.

Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, caramel, brown sugar, dark malt, sweet malt, alcohol. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150821]
