blutt59 (6576) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2012
bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, dark brown to black in color with mostly still head, one of the best constructed dark beers I have had in a while, great balance of charred and bitter roast chocolate, red wine tannins show up on the edges, great beer

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) jet black, sparse dark tan bubbles. Nose of oats, very rich chocolate, graham cracker, marshmallow, smells absolutely fantastic. Taste of fudge, marshmallow, chocolate malt, rich and delicious.

fiammanghilla (973) - Genova, ITALY - JUL 10, 2013
Bottiglia 75 cl. Scura con schiuma marroncina persistente. Corposa, carbonazione giusta a mio parere, decisa nei toni di caffè. Amarezza persistente. Veramente ottima!

zvikar (6349) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - OCT 26, 2013
[18-OCT-2013] Cask at Open Baladin in Rome. Pours opaque black with a beige head, aroma of smoked wood and smoked fish, flavor is tasty with wood, coffee, chocolate and smoky tones, medium to full bodied, very nice

Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2008
750. Pours black and appears ink like in the glass. A brown heads floats atop. Looks like an Imperial Stout. Lots of taste, with solid roast, nut-like flavors, caramel, a touch of espresso. Solid roast aromas. Finesse. Soft carbonation. Finish lingers. A really, really impressive beer.

3.9
INDASTRIA (129) - Berlin & Rome, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2011
Bottle. Dark color, white/slightly brown creamy head but almost without lacing. Very massive aroma of cocoa, bitter chocolate, roastiness, molasses and little bit of Soy sauce (i don’t like it usually but in this case it wasn’t an issue). the taste has a dominating bitter chocolate component. with a less present cocoa and roasted coffee characters. anyway the taste is very "robust" and so is the body, the alcohol is totally hidden. medium/soft carbonation. The finish is very bitter and dry because the malt rather than the hop. I have to say that i had it before and sometimes it showed a different beer, with a not so robust body and taste for example. But i think it’s really a, very good, robust porter just like the label says

fugitive (2037) - Athens, GREECE - DEC 4, 2011
Bottle 750ml. Color dark brown with medium lasting white head. Aroma malt, roasted, chocolate. Taste sweet, some bitterness, malt, chocolate, roasted.
