Cask; Regular.
A light frothy beer that lives up to its name, with a floral spicy aroma and good bittering quality.
Now a firm favourite, this beer was produced for the Linton Festival in Herefordshire where the band Dr Feelgood were playing. Head brewer Julian was asked to brew this special ale, he named it in honour of the band.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold with white head. Light citrusy beer with a herby, spruce like element in the flavour. The body is thin and a little watery but does deliver the hop fairly well. Its fine.

Cask at the Theatre Bar, Birmingham. Clear light straw coloured pour with a thin persistent white head. Pretty nondescript dry dusty aroma leading to a very smooth bitter taste which I must say was not to my liking. The beer was all about the bitterness and for me it just doesn't work.

Cask at Wellington, Birmingham
Golden color. The aroma is mild, minimum toffee and caramel. Simple flavor, some malt, with a cheesy end, French soft cheese; correct bitterness; quite dry and weak.
Drinkable and fresh, but simple.

Cask. Clear golden with an off-white lacing head. Some skewed British hops in the nose and a little citrus. Light body, almost flat, vague fruity accents and a dry and hoppy finish. 150110

Cask (handpump) at the Great Malvern Hotel, Great Malvern, May 2009. Clean golden ale. Quite dry. Some citrus. Nothing wrong with this but it didnt really have enough happening to generate much interest. A pleasant enough quaffer though with a decent crisp mouthfeel.

Clear medium yellow orange color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (060808)

Gravity, Solihull ’08. Musty green hop aroma. Dead and headless conditioning. Peanut husk bitterness, dusty lemony citrus, lingering intense bitterness. Not as fleshy as the Pictish, but plenty of hop presence. Dry pilsy bitterness to finish. Solid.

A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Golden brown with a thin white rim. Slight sweetness from the good malt and a nice earthy feel. The hops come through really well in the finish making it really well balanced. Not brimming with complexity but drinks above it’s strength in a good way and is enjoyable overall.
