Dark with a short head. Not much scent, just a hint of hops. Nice mouthfeel, slight carbonation. Bitter. In the mouth, raspberries, quite nutty with some sweetness on the end. Nice but a bit average.

Cask-conditioned at the Lamp Tavern, Birmingham 28/9/2016. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Brown sugar, a touch of chocolate and some toasty malts, before a pleasantly soft finish. A good mild.

Cask at the Wellington; dark brown pour with a bubbly tan head, aroma has caramel, smooth chocolate and some dark fruits, taste has chocolate, some nutty action, light roast, pretty decent.

Cask conditioned handpull at Saracenís Head, Worcester. Rather a nice roasty mild. Itís good. Nice bit of burnt choc, some biscuit. Itís pretty good, very drinkable. Little bit of powder/grain coffee on finish, bit of bitterness from roasted malt. Good.

Cask Handpump at the Crown Inn, Stockport 27/06/2009 Some roast aroma. Dark coloured and a little rich on the palate with some bitterness in a crisp and very dry roast finish.
