Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Also mir schmeckts ausgezeichnet!

Not veyr interesting more like a soda but with alcoloh. NIce to have a break from only Kölsch.

My Bottom Line :
Overly sweet and bubbly, this frightening concoction may still please those who are used to drinking colas by the liters as a freakish version of that beverage.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-There is not much foam atop the dark brown.
-This was like drinking a Cola with caramel syrup…
-The refreshing factor is taken away by the intense sweetness.
-The prickly, intense carbonation is once again akin to a soda pop of some kind .
-This is not poorly executed at all; it is simply thoroughly unappealing for this craft beer lover. Their Kölsch, on the other hand, is lovely.

At the brewery restaurant.

AromaLighter nose. Gentle hop, brown sugar. Mild nose, malty bottom. 6-
Appearance dark brown, clear with medium brown rocky top. 3+.
Flavor and Palate : very sweet, candy sugars, caramel with light grainy follow up. Far too sweet to be drinkable.

Draft. Pours deep brown with an off white head. Sweet aroma with some lightly toasted grainy. Sweet caramel flavor with little providing balance. Not awful.

oh my god, this is very close to our best mild/kotikalja. deep brown small beije head. aroma those lovdly midget hops from humalankya.Gentle but refreshing carbonation, but a sweet slightly sticky palate. taste fully malty, but perhaps too sweet and sugary. our mild was better, but this is damn tasty if you can overcome the sugar.

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100515]

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Very deep ruby red colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, some slight syrup as well as mild notes of wood. Flavour is quite much the same. Overall rather sweet.

On tap at Malzmühle. It pours a clear, dark reddish brown body under a diminishing, one-finger beige head. Lacings. The nose is a bit weak, with raisins and wort-like sweetness. Caramel-sweet, wort flavor with dried fruits and some roasted malts. Smooth, creamy and sticky mouthfeel. Sweet finish with sultanas. A good beer, at least in small quantities, don’t think I could down many of these. 091009

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 30, 2009
On tap at the brewpub, 18th Aug 09. Dark brown with a little magnolia head. Extremely sweet and sugary with a pronounced malt nose. Molasses and butterscotch are the dominant flavour notes. It’s like an over-sweetened mild. Very different but not up my street.
