Found a bottle of this in my mail room at 2 in the morning. Drank it the next night. Poured the bottle into two different glasses. One for me, one for a friend. My glass was a lighter, dark amber. It had black chunks floating in it. His was a darker, almost brown color. From the same bottle! Very strange. Tasted decent though. It did the job...

First off, this beer rocks. Its nice and refreshing, with good citrus and malt flavors, comes in a big thirst quenching bottle, and the label is just tough. One of the finest malt liquors Ive had, which is saying a lot, as nearly all malt liquor commonly available is terrible. Secondly, this rating is from memory, as I havent seen the beer in the last 10 years. The reason is that the beer has been off the market. There was a slight disturbance in Ivory Coast, not sure if yall heard about that commotion. They stopped making it, and the distrib in Houston bought the trademark. So, you guys reviewing in the 2000s are either artfully examining some 10 year old dreck discovered in the back of a wholesalers dusty warehouse, or someone is producing an unauthorized fake. Either that, or the brewery came back with new distrib and hasnt told the old distrib! Enjoy!

Purchased at Halls, Colleyville Tx. Agree with everyones comments so far about this being better than expected, I really thought itd be a drain pour. Clear gold pour, soft white head, fully receding. All malt aroma, some barely detectable lemon peel and orange, nothing offensive at all. Tastes much the same, but the alcohol is far too apparent. Finishes fairly clean, a little fusel alcohol clinging on. Palate thin, not much of a surprise there, but it made for an easygoing quaff. Not too shabby.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2006 Big Bottle. Poured light golden in color with tall (quickly dissipating) white head. What aroma was there was weak and a bit skunky. Nice beer considering. Malty and sweet with a bit of bitterness thanks to the above average level of carbonation. Probably wont have it again. Old rating from way back.

Pours dull and lifeless, with yellow food coloring and high carbonation. Flavor is typical skunk lager, with sour malt and lifeless hops. However, unlike most malt liquor/lagers, its not terrible.

Bottle. Not much to say about this one. Really not much going on here. Like the last reviewer stated, this tastes like a typical US malt liquor, which is a style I dont particularly care for.

This used to be a huge novelty beer when it was still available. I remember a surprisingly pleasent palate and good malt character. As others have said, this is very close to typical American Malt Liquors.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of fine to large sized white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was transparent carbonated and orange in color. It had an malty aroma with a hint of orange peel in it and a medium tingly smooth mouth feel with a very light aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild low alcohol malt liquor that was malty and thin. This Malt Liquor would be good for people wanting an atypical Malt Liquor without the strong Malt Liquor flavor and palate
