Bottle to stemless wine glass (just like the bottle suggests). Looks solid; a hazy apricot with eggshell head that dissipates into thin lacing pretty quickly. Smells of basil, tomato paste, and garlic. Tastes like it smells with some oregano as well. Average on the palate. Interesting, but not something I’d have again; a little goes a long way.

(retrieved from 08/2013 Midwest jpg backlog). 12oz bottles from CHI, consumed on site and at home when its BB passed its gift date. Tastes like Aldi plastic bruschetta mix shaker that has fallen from the kitchen cabinet straight into a Midwest Lite Lager, although one slightly better than Miller. Fizzy, watery, with heaps of artificial oregano and it seems iodised salt. Not wholly horrible, and not a drainpour, this hard to resist gimmick. Pity the bottles were so heavy or I would have brought some extras to show what the US of A can come up with, apart from DFH 90minute and Bourbon County.

Shared with momos crew. Golden pour with small white head dissipates. Huge oregano aroma. Smells like pizza goldfish and cheese bread sticks from a pizza place. Bready with basil and garlic. Gimmicky and lame but it could be worse. I would not drink more than half a glass but worth a taste.

Welp, thanks stevencon! This beer tastes, smells, and looks like Momo's. You don't eat pizza that isn't yours!

Poured into pint glass. Nice golden appearance. Smells just like pizza, weird! Tastes the same, great sipping but hard to drink! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is disgustingly delicious. It really does taste like a pizza. Smells like doughy crust and oregano. Its light copper color with no lasting foam.

Savory, mineral, dry malty aroma - basil in anything dominates unless it’s just in miniscule quantities. I’m torn on the appearance for this one - the label is so horrid, but it’s got the good Sprecher ’plumper’ bottle. Almost clear gold beer, dense white head. Basically, pasta in the glass. Dry, starchy, bready, mild basil. Brothy finish. This ain’t bad, but it ain’t great. Drinkable, but it’s just an idle curiousity. Planned this out right - I rate the first half of the beer, the rest I just pair with my meatloaf that’s coming out of the oven. ABC, Betton.

16oz bottle to pint glass. Hazy dark orange appearance with large amount of white head. Does in fact smell like pizza, although not strongly so, and certainly not in a good way, its a bit nauseating actually. Tastes weird, some faint pizza sauce, very watery with a slightly creamy texture. Just not good all around.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2014 Bottle: Straw yellow color, lots of clarity, only a mild chill haze with plenty of carbonation bubbles rising up to a frothy, stark white, fragile head. Aroma is like a bad lager mixed with pizza sauce. Oregano, basil, grain, & a slight metallic, steel-y note, almost with a hint of skunk on the back-end. Tomato-y, likely an influence of the aforementioned spices. Taste is similar... Strange. Oregano, basil, grain, sharp yeast, faint skunk.... Getting that metallic twinge again. Prego mixed with Coors? Eh, the novelty can only carry it so far. I love pizza sauce but I don’t want to drink it.

Bottle @ Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s gold with a small head. Strong oregano nose. Combos pizza snacks. More oregano flavors. Tomato water. A touch grainy. Light body, soft carbonation. Overall, definitely strange, but not a bad gimmick.
