From tap at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant. Pours clear light brown/amber with a small, foamy, off-white head with lots of lacing. The aroma contains malt, biscuit, hops, nuts, some spice & caramel and a vague hint of cooked vegetable (I'd say cauliflower). It tastes medium to light sweet and light bitter with a short, sweet finish. Medium body, slick to almost watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Totally inoffensive.

Tap @ Waterhuis aan de Bierkant. Hazy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, cheasy, bready and old furniture. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Tastes okay, but something is not right with the aroma. 170317

0.25 l on tap at ’Waterhuis aan de Bierkant’. Clear, dark brownish amber with a thin, frothy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, nuts, some honey and a touch of brown sugar. Quite sweet, malty and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, nuts, some honey and a bit of chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, just a bit bland.

Tap at the Waterhuis. Nice, malty Amber, light caramel, bit of speculoos (surely the power of suggestion...) Easy drinking good starter. Hint of some fruitiness and a touch of bitterness. Nice.
