COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redolent of coffee and dark chocolate, Double Nut Brown is our amped-up version of a traditional brown porter. This dark ale combines a mild sweetness with a finishing roasty dryness, and is brewed with roasted, brown and dark Munich malts.

Tap, brown pour, tan head, nose and taste are both nutty, coffee, vanilla, good

Nice sweet malt flavor and aroma with toasty nutty notes. No hops to note. Mineraly finish that took away from the overall enjoyment.

Bought this on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. Good flavors of mocha, coffee and roasted chestnuts. Nice beer for after work on a Spring day

A new brewery for me, courtesy of a trade with paiste2002. This 22 oz. bottle pours a mostly clear transparent brown with a thin-moderate tan head that lasted through the first two sips and left partial lace. Very pleasant aroma of nuts along with some chocolate. Just a hint of coffee present as well. The flavor is predominantly nuts with malt. There isn’t that nice chocolate presence that I find in the aroma. Mild bitterness at the finish. A little bit on the lighter side of medium bodied.

"the double nut brown says 5.8% on the label, not 7 (as listed above). too bad. chocolate, coffee notes on the flavor with a nice dry roasted finish. a very good brown ale. hearty. 1-10-not quite as good the last couple times, scores adjusted slightly downward. 3-10 had a couple more good ones. the range for this beer has been 3.1-3.7."

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Sweet nutty malts, medium roasted notes, hints of chocolate, and a lingering nutty sweet finish. Nice.

Flaske: Sortbrun klar øl med et fint skumhoved. Duften er maltet med en del sødlig kaffe. Smagen er kaffepræget sød. God porter der bestemt bliver bedre af at blive drukket i bjørneland.

Strong coffee smell, body is a bit watery to my liking. Bland finish. Drinkable, but many other porters I like much better.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at the Lodgepole general store in Sequoia National Park. The pour is brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is big not brown and roast. The taste is the nut brown and roast of the nose, clean and fresh flavors. The palate is medium bodied with a lingering mineral, some pine and the residual nut.

Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is spicy coffee, cedar, roasty nuts. Flavor is roasty, a bit smokey, thin bodied but pleasant all around.
