Poured into a pint glass. Color is a cloudy amber. Aroma is mild but has floral hops. Flavor is light bready malts at the start and turns into a hoppier finish. Palate is light bodied and has a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall a good IPA. hoppopotamus (260) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - SEP 18, 2011
A clear amber beer with a decent creamy head that sticks around and leaves lace. Smells of piney hops, a bit of citrus, and some caramel malt. Flavor is not so much hop flavor as crystal malt, with a decent dose of bitterness to finish. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - SEP 8, 2011
22oz bottle. Pours a murky orange color; fine-bubbled off-white head with solid lacing. Dank, sweet and orangey aroma; amarillo shows through, along with some candied sweetness and a bit of alcohol. Muddled but tasty, in a phrase. Medium-full body, modest CO2. Chewy candied maltiness, with the orange character running up against that juicy orange hop note; lightly warming, a slight coarseness in the presentation, but overall a delicious (if muddled) IPA. Seems bulkier than 6.5%, but that’s mostly residual sweetness. Medium-length finish: toasty, citrusy, a bit sweet. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 7, 2011
This was poured from the gift pack I received from the brewery. Aroma is nice, cleanly hopped. Flavor is mildly bitter, but not overly for a regular ipa. Overall its pretty great! stouby (4714) - Holbæk, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2011
Bottle at Mammoth Mountain Inn.
Clear golden with a white head, ok lacinhs. Aroma moderate malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, citrus, spicy. Flavor moderate sweet, heavy bitter, long duration. Medium+ body. Good.

Clear copper pour from can straight from brewery. Great aroma with lots of citrus and caramel. Strong malty backbone with nice hoppy crisp finish. Great stuff. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 4, 2011
Can... Poured golden with a white head. Very sweet, like hop candy. Slightly floral, sweet tart-like yeast esters, malty sweetness, dry carbonated palate, hoppy finish. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 2, 2011
dark clear peach body, looks good, off white head that doesn’t last, not much going on there... the nose changes quite a bit, very complex, but sometimes its great other times bad, the nice notes are oranges with some really mellow dank notes, other times I smells like vomit... the taste is hot dank, a bit spicy with some pine hops, a total malt backbone but its not sweet, just sticky malt, not really successful... I’d pass on this daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 23, 2011
Nice beer! Good piney hops, grassy notes, light spice, caramel, and crackers. Flavor has a pretty good hop bite, good resinous flavor, nice citrus peel, overall a good beer. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2011
My favorite of the samples. This poured an amber with a big foamy head. The aroma was citrus with a touch of pine and sweet malt. The flavor was big on the pine and a touch of sweetness. All in all, pretty decent.
