This was a shared tasting via Facebook Chat with Strykzone. The beer poured golden with very large foam head that settled quickly. All the carbonation went into the head, as there were no bubbles in the beer.. Light to medium body and smooth mouthfeel. The nose is banana with cloves. Flavor got bigger as it wend fishing up pretty tasty. Very nice beer and would go good a warm day. Strykzone (7360) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2011
Thanks to Hayduke for sending this my way. We shared it via Facebook chat with Rick. This beer had a shave cream like foam on top and a clear copper golden body with no carbonation visible. Aroma is cloves and a bit of banana and was light. Flavor was also those cloves and banana. Like it nose, it was light. Flavors are authentic with nothing artificial noted. This is completely inoffensive and very easy to drink to the max. It wold make a great lawn mower beer in the summer heat. The lower ABV is a huge plus for me. headheldhigh (100) - Walnut, California, USA - APR 2, 2011
On tap pours out a cloudy yellow which produces a nice fluffy head. It is our tradition to sit on the deck overlooking the slopes of Mammoth. Smells of typical bananas bubble gum and cloves. Tastes of wheat bananas hay and cloves. Light and refreshing. bnoel09 (587) - Elk Grove, California, USA - APR 1, 2011
Poured into a weizen glass. Color varies from yellow to light orange. Cloudy appearance with a lot of yeast particles. Aroma is yeasty with some banana and citrus notes. Flavor is yeasty with some light wheat flavors and spice. Body is very light and well carbonated. Overall a very good hefeweizen. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - APR 1, 2011
Poured into a wiezen style glass. Pours super cloudy, with nuggets of coriander at the bottom. Aroma is wheat, yeast (doughy), and some citrus. Flavour us about the same, not to bitter, maybe even sweet. Palate is medium bodied, kind of on the watery side. Very refreshing on this warm spring day. Overall a fantastic wheat beer.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy pastel yellow with a dense 1/8 inch head.
Aroma: Banana and bubble gum followed by a little bit of clove. All aromas are faint.
Taste: Dry malt, spice, banana and bread.
Mouthfeel: Low to medium fizzy carbonation.
Overall: Not my style, but not bad, highly drinkable. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - SEP 23, 2009
From a bottle at the UCLA game. Color was a pretty clear gold with a smallish head. Aroma of sweet malt, banana, yeast and toast. Flavor was yeasty, wheaty, with toasted malt. Not alot of banana and spice for me. An ok, but forgettable beer. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2009
22oz bottle bought in Mammoth. Overall, probably my favorite of the bunch I tried from Mammoth. At 4.2% ABV, it’s a nice session beer with solid banana, clove and wheat flavors, a medium body and more flavor than you expect from such a light beer. Would gladly drink this regularly. I usually don’t like Hefes, so the fact that I found this to be palatable is a little surprising. Still, not my favorite beer. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - AUG 13, 2009
22oz bottle picked up while in Tahoe. Opaque gole with a lasting creamy white head. Nutty aroma with some ripe banana and honey. Comes together like ripe bananas and honey-nut peanut butter on bread, or maybe banana bread with peanut butter on it. The flavor is lightly sweet and bready with some very light citrus tartness and low bitterness. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel, though a bit too heavy, bringing down refreshment. This is not exactly traditional, and doesn’t really taste like anything I’ve had from germany, but it’s a pretty cool take on the style that is very drinkable.
