500 ml bottle, shared by Saeglopur, many thanks! Pours a very dark chestnut brown with a tan colored head. Lots of Bourbon in the aroma - oak, vanilla - very intense barrel notes along with roasted malt - hazelnut, licorice, cocoa, brown sugar - and light, herbal notes. Full oily body with a low carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy but never cloying sweetness, a very light bitterness and some noticeable alcohol. The flavor is full of roasted malt with molasses, chocolate, hazelnut and very well integrated barrel notes - Bourbon, some vanilla. Finishes with sweetish roasted malt and a lightly warming sensation. Overall very smooth with a good balance between the roasted malt and the barrel notes. Very good!

Ekstrakt: 22% wag.

IBU: 70

Kolor: Czarny, nieprzejrzysty.

Piana: Drobna, beżowa, umiarkowanie trwała. Przez parę minut nad piwem pozostaje 5 milimetrowa obrączka.
Sporo malunków na szkle.

Zapach: Fajny aromat beczki po bourbonie, umiarkowane nuty whisky, dużo mokrego drewna, dębiny. Trochę głębiej odrobina wanilii i ciemnych owoców.
Umiarkowana paloność i trochę przypalonego ziarna kawy. Dalej odrobina gorzkiej czekolady, wiśni w likierze i lukrecji.

Tekstura niska do umiarkowanej. Cóż mogę powiedzieć... Kolejne piwo z Top100 najlepszych RISów świata i nie sprostało oczekiwaniom....

Wysycenie: Niskie do średniego.

Podsumowanie:

Mammoth Brewing Co. z Mamoth Lakes w stanie Kalifornia.

Dominują ciemne słody, palone ziarna kawy, gorzka czekolada, lukrecja, ciemne owoce, mocna kawa espresso.

Black color with mocha head. Aroma has really nice whiskey notes with some dark berries. Taste is sweet at first with nice bourbon but also fruity notes. Finish has caramel and butterscotch, just a bit of roasted malt bitterness. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Overall it’s a really well made beer with all flavors integrated nicely into the whole.

Bottle. Sensoric. Pitch black with light brown, semi-thick head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma mainly milk chocolate and nice bourbon notes, not so intense. Taste is semi sweet, nothing interesting here Medium body, oily and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finish is slightly roasted, creamy, milk chocolate. ABV is well hidden. In overall nice brew, but nothing really outstanding here. There are some bourbon notes, fortunately not too boozy, not really thick, neither complex.
