Pours a burnt orange with a large tan head. Aroma is burnt caramel and toffee. Flavor is malty and floral. Pretty good beer.

A - pours very crisp clear red amber with very high fluffy white head. Very strong lacing. S - piney, lightly soapy hops. Borschish vegetal notes, rhubarb? Hints of a sweet tart candy. Interesting aromas. M - surprisingly sticky sweet. Medium body. High carb. Lingering vegetal bitterness. T - wet hops up front. Floral, piney, very green. Fresh grass. Leads to a strong malt back bone, caramel and very sweet vegetal notes. Lingering sticky sweet malty end. Seeing "Wet Harvest" in the name made me assume this was an IPA and the taste was unusual for that. Now I see this is an imperial red and that is very much what this is. Very malty aroma and no real hint of fresh hops. Pours a beautiful crystal clear copper amber with a light tan head. The rich caramel malt follows into the flavor, but this is where the hops really kick in. Earthy, dry and citrus rind bitterness here that balances the sweet malt very well. Slight vegetal component in the background and some peppery spice along with a nice alcohol burn. Finishes dry and sweet. Although there’s a lot going on here, nothing overpowers anything else and this ends up being big, well balanced and quite tasty. bhensonb (15760) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear ruddy copper with a 2 finger creamy/foamy beige head. Heavy roast malt with hop - but I’m having trouble figuring out the hop. Full bodied. Heavy roast caramel. There’s a lot of hop - enough for a burn - but it’s more earthy/floral than citrus or pine - to me anyway. The bottle lable says the hops are wild hops in the area of the brewery. So I’m going with earthy/floral. Very tasty stuff.

Poured from a growler that was recieved from the brewery. I knew this was great last year, and I’m excited they’ve changed the style. Pours with a really nice red colour. Aroma is of wet floral, grassy hops. Flavour is bitterwith a nice citrusy notes. Palate is pretty dry showing the ABV. The hops are the star on this one, love the wet hops. Looking forward to finding a few more wet hopped beers.
