On tap at Iron Abbey. Pours dark reddish brown with tan head. Aromas of bread, banana, coriander, earth, alcohol, caramel. Moderately sweet and bitter. Full, creamy body.
Pours a golden color with three fingers of fluffy white foam. Great yeasty esters, soft honey, coconut, caramel, vanilla, pear, citrus peel, good carbonation. Not my favorite style but was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed sipping this one. JBPortland (1557) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - MAR 23, 2015
750ml bottle (chardonnay barrel version) pours hazy yellow orange with medium head. Nose is bready grain, buttery oak, some lemon, yeast spice. Taste is similar with lots of buttery chardonnay barrel influence and yeasty belgian spice, doughy grain and toasty crust. Finishes with a mix of some sweet yeasty spice and orange peel, and dry oaky lemon. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2015
On tap at Iron Abbey in 2013. Had this as Abbatia 12. Deep dark red, off white head with nice density and musty nose. Green hop flavor and alcohol presence, thinner palate.
