Pours cloudy light orange with a one finger white head which quickly fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of ripe fruits, bready malts, banana, belgian yeast, some light funk, some spices, and citrus. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi-moderately bitter, medium finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, refreshing, easy drinking biere de garde that doesn’t seem like 7.3 abv at all. Ratman197 (14668) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 23, 2013
Poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, yeast and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, yeast, spice and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering spiced fruit finish. BiddleBrau (1220) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2013
On tap at brewery. Mostly clear amber with minimal head. Malt comes through in nose. Malty profile, slight horse finish that may hide off finish slightly. Needs more crispness and earthiness. reggiedunlop (3717) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2013
Pours a hazy orange with a thick off white head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has light notes of spice and dry leaves. Flavor has musty and spicy notes, a hint of leather, and some wheaty notes...a bit of sweetness and rindyness creep in. Mouthfeel is full and silky with an earthy/spicy dry finish that bitters slightly. Nice beer. ryanscourt (1456) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Pretty malty with farmhouse yeast finish. Pretty neat. Don’t think the recipe is quite mastered, and the flavors don’t all come together perfectly but I think this is a really good attempt. Like a malty saison except yeast isn’t as spicy/peppery, more creamy and a little buttery. Props for this creation.

Draft at Blue Dog. Pours turbid dark straw toward orange with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is dusty yeast esters, florals, hops. Tastes of yeasty malt, fruit, florals, hops, not a lot of wild yeast flavor here, but a solid dose of complexity. Another good offering from Manayunk. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Draught at Whole Foods Devon: Aroma of sugar, light orange, yeast, and light pepper. Poured orange in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very hazy. Lightly sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, cocoa, slight band-aid, yeast, and a hint of sugar. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, yeast, cocoa finish is dry. 7.3%ABV is completely hidden throughout. NO Brett in aroma or flavor. lachrymalisis (441) - Washington, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Good offering in the style. Slightly band-aidy flavor happening if the temp is too cold, but as it gets up around 45-48 it smooths out and releases the subtle minty-herbal Brett character followed by a rye-like earthy sweetness. Nice and toasty with pale Belgian fruit esters. Aroma is right for the style, but not the best I’ve smelled. Pretty impressed with this one. callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2012
A: Hazy amber-orange body. Moderate sized off-white head. Spotty lacing.
S: Orange peel, a little pepper, warmed caramel, and spicy yeast.
T: Like the nose, there is an underlying orange-fruityness. A little musty-peppery-spicy yeast. A fair bit of rich malty sweetness from a caramel/brown sugar character.
M: Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, clean finish.
O: A nice offering that shows off a bit of interesting yeast character. Pleasant and enjoyable.
