UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Perfectly balanced for a porter. Touch of chocolate, touch of coffee, hint of smoke, touch of nuttiness. Creamy head and as the glass warmed the beer took on a creamier taste. Well played Manayunk...well played. Tap ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - SEP 29, 2013
On tap. Pours a deep ruby brown color with a dense tan head that has good retention, and light lacing. Aroma of dark fruits and caramel behind fresh brewed coffee and malt. Tastes of roasted malt and coffee, with subtle smokiness in the middle, finishing with some pine hops, then a slightly bitter dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Full body, delicate light carbonation, and smooth. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2013
Several drafts during a long, rambling, pointless keynote speech at NHC. Pours a deep, cloudy brown with think tan head and mild lace. Nose of roasted malts, caramel, some dark fruit and chocolate. Medium to light body, light carbonation. johnnnniee (4312) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 1, 2013

Pours a dark brown/black with faint ruby highlights and a creamy tan head that shows moderate retention. Smells of chocolate, roast, caramel and a hint of dark stone fruit. The flavor is as the aroma advertised. Nice creamy silky mouthfeel. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2012

Deep chestnut brown, firm, thin cream chocolate head. Light roast nose with cool grainyness, with brown malt particularly discernable. Vegetal roast flavor--actually not too bad as it contributes an unusual character. fonefan (49341) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2012

Bottled. A trip down memory lane from the time before RateBeer, where I visited the brewpub. A dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, chocolate, and a bit of roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
